Caught up with this program tonight. Truly interesting. Interesting to hear the thoughts and perceptions of joe public. I thought Kate done a great job in her commentary of the processes. However I do feel that the end consumer is really far removed from the process and a big part of me blames the supermarkets. Sigh

Yes I think its a good well balanced program, however joe public has the idea of pigs and cows in green fields etc etc,, which I totally agree with but the same joe public want cheap food on demand on the supermarket shelves but are they prepared to pay for that and all that goes with it. Perhaps food and farming need taught in our schools.

Really good, muddy boots programme on real farms. Nice to see Trevor again and no better person than Gareth Wyn Jones to lead from the front. @mikehankin you need to watch this. (I-player link at top of thread).
Gareth is certainly passionate about Ag and it comes through in spades, very capable and confident without being arrogant, a really good ambassador for UK Agriculture and what a spot he farms... you obviously know Trefor too I was so glad to see such an articulate and capable farmer on a program such as this, he did get the bum deal though with the vegan and veggie ladies, I haven't seen him yet to ask how that was..
