What’s this on idiot number two? Happened this afternoon in the garden and is on his cheek under the ear. Looks like a bee or wasp sting that he’s been itching to me. No snakes about as far as I’m aware and he’d be feeling bloody rough now if it was, no bite mark visible.
Feels like a penny piece under the skin and not hot and he’s behaving As his usual irritating self!! Yap, yap, yap........ I’m gonna fckkng well kill the lot of ya!!!!!!!!!

Somebody please help!! Some time ago I either saw .. or indeed posted .. a fantastic poster somewhere on TFF of a dogs last will and testament. It was a picture of a dog sat on the doorstep recording what he would put in his will if he could. He wanted his owner not to grieve but to give another dog the same wonderful life that he had had after he died. I am useless at searching and cannot find it and I could really do with it to give to someone who is going through **** at the moment having lost his soulmate. Help please

Thank you so much. Its uncanny. The person I am trying to helps dog was called .. Toby! I so understand how he .. and you .. feel. I can not only disintegrate into a soggy heap when I think about previously lost dogs, but I also totally lose it even thinking about losing my current dogs. I cope with just about any awful disaster on farm .. and as any farmer knows, life can be very tough sometimes .. but a sick dog .. not a chance! I'm still hoping someone will find my missing poster! I'm sure its on TFF somewhere. This dog, about to die, was listing all the good things that his master had done for hm throughout his life and was pleading with him to grant his last wish .. that he should not just hang on to the memory of his beloved dog, but to make another equally happy. Please keep hunting!

Are you sure it is not the dog just licking himself? I don't mean to be patronising, but sometimes a dog will start licking at one spot, like an anxious child biting it's nails, because of some minor initial irritation and stress, then it becomes a habit. Just a suggestion as I have seen that several times in dogs. Just need to break the cycle somehow. Sometimes just changing the routine will do it.

I borrowed a dog from a friend and the stress of the change started her licking, then biting her own paw. It stopped when she went home.

It’s on his cheek so not licking it but he does still have his dew claws and I did catch him scratching and then licking his foot. I’m fairly sure it started as a bee sting and due to the rubbing turned into dermatitis. Went to the vet as we were going away the next day so got some ab for it but the vet did say it was odd as it had a yellow hard patch in the middle. All cured now apparently and we return tomorrow.

All's well that end's well. Glad he is back to normal.

They actually do this deliberately to worry us!

He was the Old Mans little dog. Bought him after mother passed and was a great mate for him to have about. He’s really a fantastic little hound, a bit feral but loves to be with someone and has really taken to our three year old. Might be the trail of food left behind though!

Going to miss him when and if anything happens.
