How far in the ground/leave above ground with the 5foot 3 posts do you do?It is amazing the difference an extra 3 inches makes! I do find them short but the 1.6s can be handy for hard ground!

Bloody rock
Depends on the ground. Rock spikes are good in rubble, hard core and boulder ground, the auger is better at everything else. How does the auger compare to a rock spike?

Less wear on the machine and can get bigger posts in deeper with an auger as you can use a bigger flight if ground is hard to make a hole. Might use a rock spike once a year, use the auger every day.

Started to feel left with all the good fencing pics, I’m struggling to upload some but here’s some clipexing
Yes it’s fast, I’ve done 400m a day easily alone splitting grasses, but it’s a post every 10 metres. Is that clipex quite a bit faster to erect would you say?

We once did 1200 metres in a day with 4 of us with posts at 6 metres and a plain wire on top.
We can do 10,000 metres a year easily, we did 8000 in one month, I think it takes half the labour.
We are on creosote strainers, quicker and cheaper then the steel strainer setup
£5.15 for a Clipex postYeah was going to ask about the strainers as they seemed to be mega money for what they were. How much are the posts?
phone protech they mail you some . Good companyView attachment 741346
Not sure if this belongs here or in loaded up and trucking.... the hail prevented any fence pictures unfortunately
There will be thousands on here that have had tanalised posts rot after 3-4 years. Its a choice you make.there was someone up here had clipex.
ripped it all out and replaced with timber
