The Future Farming Resilience Fund: providers named

The Future Farming Resilience Fund: providers named

Written by Andrew Powley

The Future Farming Resilience Fund is designed to provide business support to farmers and land managers during the early years of the agricultural transition.

It does this by awarding grants to organisations who help farmers and land managers to:

  • understand the changes that are happening
  • identify how, what and when they may need to adapt their business models
  • access tailored support to adapt.

I'm really pleased to share that, as of today, we've awarded grants to 19 organisations so that they can provide the interim phase of this resilience support. (We are taking a phased approach to the support: initial, interim and scale-up. You can read more about our 3-phase approach in my earlier post).

At the bottom of this post, I'll share the details of those 19 organisations, their location and their contact details.

The support will be available, free of charge, from August onwards. Any farmer or land manager currently in receipt of Direct Payments is eligible to apply.

We recommend getting in contact with the organisations early to avoid missing out on this phase, though a further phase of support will be available from 2022.

We'll blog about our progress and share details about how we will further scale-up the support in 2022. To keep up-to-date, subscribe to the Future Farming blog and sign up to Defra’s e-alerts if you haven't already.
