The great global warming scam, worth a listen I think.

Data data data the man with it all!
Its an intresting video, he is very slick he moves from quoting weather data to world average temps seamlessly he is very good at blurring the lines with data he moves from one to the other he talks about globle climate while showing graphs on local weather, it's a great magic act, where he infers the graphs are globle while they are actualy local cherry picked data, that show what he wants them to show, I am sorry I only got to 37mins and that was with some skipping.
The claim that data is tampered with is another scam he pulled back from when questioned, he avoided it by changing it to infured agendas instead of an out and out tamper. If you actualy read the reasons they have amended data they are very understandable. It's to avoid time of day records are recorded to infulannce data if one is recorded at 8am and another at mid day the data is not the same, data has to be averaged to be relavant, and is the globle average temp is not one country has experienced in one year but the average for the whole world for one year.

So the end of your graph is the same as mine and shows it slowing down and is getting colder, thanks for agreeing with me cos the data shows it's not melting for the last few years doesn't it
yes it did but the trend was more visible than in yours, the graph sees a bump around 2010-2012 but the trend is still up, not down to draw any conclusion you will have to see what the next few years bring before we can all celebrate your prediction.

Who to belive.....? This man or experiences of local weather over the last 80 odd years of my family's. Ice records, ice reductions at the poles, I think he lost his last small credit when he tried to enter data on relative costs of renewables to coal power, it's not climate data that's agenda. There are still lots of good reasons to drop coal fired power even if climate change was not on the cards. To even enter a slide on that was not called for, if he only wanted to refute climate change, with no agenda.

I ll research that as it sounds interesting, however my understanding of current research and latest findings in regards to what is happening now do not say anything of the sort.
Vulcanos in Antarctica are nothing new, recent studies 'discovered' more under the ice vulcanos, infact quite a significant number, near a 100 I think from the 40ish we already new.
Now the implication here is what will happen if they erupt and how the thinning and dessapering ice due to global warming , might infact trigger the eruptions, due to the release of pressure applied by the icesheet.(y)

Ps
I think I figured out what you on about, is this about 'mantle plume' studies in West Antarctica?
Thermal Subglacial anomalies are again nothing new and specific areas in West Antarctica have been studied for years as part of the various crostal processes and definetly need to be studied more. But I could not find any research about NASA having to admit to anything and 'that ice shelves breaking up in Antarctica were due to massive volcanoes under the ice'.
Your reply here encapsulates why so many people question climate change, the causes, and more importantly what to do about it without ruining the world economy and keeping billions in terrible poverty for ever.(On balance i think the earth is warming a little, and CO2 levels increasing which is easy to measure) I still do not know whether climate is changing much.To suggest that the weight of ice sheet, even if several miles thick, can stop underground volcanic eruptions in the Antarctic until the ice sheets melt a little must be one of the stupidest statements on this entire thread. The vast forces within the earth would have no problem erupting anywhere along fault lines no matter what was on top of it.As shown on the current "Blue Planet" there are many emissions in the deep oceans that we are just finding now.

@Dave645 It's funny how @banjo never addresses the points you make and just keeps posting misleading youtube clips :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

No point arguing with some who continue to believe it's warm outside when it's in fact snowing in the north of the U.K. Now, and freezing cold in Wales at the moment. The sea level has hardly risen during my lifetime according to measured data and personal observation .
There is no point in me arguing with someone who's brainwashed by completely untrue predictions ( none of the global warming prediction have happened or come true ) I'd rather put clips up of well educated people explaining my side of the argument and for others to make up their minds on the subject.

S. Fred Singer used to be contracted by the tobacco industry to argue that second hand smoke wasn't bad for children. He is know working for exxon oil and Koch industries (who make money from refining crude oil) and receives $5,000 dollars a month from the heartland institute.

and we're the one's who are brainwashed by a global scale conspiracy involving all credible scientist. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yep 16 feet of sea level rise :scratchhead:
I do belive he said over 300 years let's face it, it's hard to predict 10 years , most often these statements were made to grab head lines, and how often do facts get in the way of a good story for news papers......
the sceptics said that C02 would have no effect but now they talk about about people's over predictions not about no climate change, and constantly grasp at solar cycles to mask data they cannot explain, its like me saying the blue smoke coming out of my car exhaust is add blue in the fuel, to an idiot looking to buy it, that cannot tell the real reason is, the car engine is burning oil which is a bad sign. I know which Group I belong in and from your post I have a good idea if told by a man on YouTube you would also belive Its add blue........ To most people the car engine is burning oil, to people like this it's add blue in the fuel........

even the graph he shows shows a mean rise in sea levels in one location, and that a big point one location.....it's the shadow line on his graph, and predicted rises are globle not local as some areas are still rising up after the last ice age, just like some areas are sinking down, like around me. Even if the sea wasn't rising our flood defences would still have to get bigger because our area is still sinking a few mm every year. We have a molten core it bulges up and down.

I realy do hope they have over perdicted the climate change threat because it gives us more time to react and pay for the changes we need to make, I have said it lots of times on this thread with or without climate change I think the changes the predictions have started, are for the long term good of all life on the planet, and I am sure having car emmisions in our air has caused a lot of ill health to millions of people, for that reason alone we need to make changes.

You constantly still confuse local weather with climate change temp rises, the uk is held at higher than normal for its geografical location tempratures due to weather patterns and the Gulf Stream, if we had that diverted away the uk would have very hard winters, but that's just weather the warm air we normally get would just be going somewhere else it's still there....

Can I ask you a serious question, what do you belive, I know you post lots of YouTube stuff up but that's other people talking.
1. Is renewable energy good or bad.
2. Is the moving to electric transport good or bad.
3. What wrong in us believing in globle warming, I ask that, as your opinion is it's just natural, there in my eyes has to be a reason you don't like our opinion, if it does no harm to belive why oppose it.
4. What harm do you belive is happening because we belive in climate change? As again it's like believing in santa if it does no harm to belive in him, why go around telling kids he is not real.....so to say there is no climate change you realy need to see it as doing harm in some way......

Some say it's harming millions by holding them in poverty I just don't see it, renewable tech is far easier to implement at local levels than conventional power, small remote villages are going to get solar or wind power for a fraction of the cost of traditional power systems, having vehicles that only require a charge is far better than shipping in fuel, renewable energy when scaled is far cheaper long term than any thing we currently use.
And as far as holding countries back it's not realy coal fire power stations are still being built in second and third world countries, you will have to show me evidence of this damage or oppression caused by climate change initiatives, to make me belive not just YouTube videos saying it will in some vague way.....

Stupid comment ??? Really:eek::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Well considering I was quoting Doctor Robert Bingham of the University of Edinburgh a glaciologist and geophysicists and explorer (who I don t consider to be a 'stupid' man), who has focused his studies and research on Antarctica, I think I will take his understanding of the issue over yours like.... anyday(y)

For the rest I ain t bothering answering, it s all in the follow up statement, and for the record everything I post here has been doubly triply researched I don’t come up with things from thin air or watch clips on Youtube or on telly to get informed about the world around me (don’t get me wrong some stuff are interesting and very good), I research and question everything I try to read all the pro and cons, I just don t accept anything at face value.

if you are at any time unclear about what I’m stating or maybe I have not made myself clear, I have no qualms and I am actually very happy in having a proper discussion and provide evidence on the stuff I post and debate them, as I, like everyone else here want to understand the issues surrounding Climate Change and Global Warming better, I don t pretend to know everything and I am always open to reasoned and informed discussions.

Have yourself a good day(y)

Absolute nonsense, the science supports the commonly held position that global warming is exacerbated by human actions. A handful disagree, they are the minority and it is selective bending of the facts to support your world view that persuades people to believe these 'scientists'. Never has the earth previously changed temperature so quickly, and humans do alter the atmosphere, the two are not unrelated. This is so obvious i think people who chose to disagree are basically flatearther types...

And the crap about some parts of the world getting warmer while others are getting colder... come on, be sensible, the average global temperature is increasing exponentially and pseudo science that claims otherwise is driven by vested interest.
