One hour to go.......
I just can't wait for all those nesting birds to vacate the nests in one hour!
The sad fact is they flew the nest weeks ago, and anything nesting now won't grow strong enough to make it through winter migration. That is of corse if they weren't eaten by one of the millions of house cats, buzzards or Rooke's. Or couldn't nest anywhere safe because all tight knit hedges have been left to grow out then smashed into sparse sticks.

Just looking at buying a cutter and wondered on the opinions of the more experienced people on here on the below options...

Bomford Falcon 5m, 2003, cable
McConnell PA 500Si Hipower, 1999, cable
Orsi 485, 2010, cable

In order of price, with the Orsi being around £2000 cheaper than the PA500. Mainly to do farm hedges, pre-fencing cut backs, little bit for others at the moment, might be something that builds and I could look to upgrade but as a start, what would people pick?

I think it's pretty equal, 5m, 5m and the Orsi is 4.8m. Struggling to find out much about the Orsi, and generally suspicious as for a 2010 machine it's quite a bit cheaper and can only think it's for a reason. Also can't seem to find any dealers so spares might be an issue but trying to keep an open mind about it as it would save a few quid...

None are particularly near so using this as a way of planning trips/getting a few tips on what is prone to failing on those particular models and to check for.
