Any one else had problems with a Shelbourne oil cooler thermostat? My trimmer is only 14 months old and my thermostat pins and plug are majorly corroded and stopping the fan doing its job. I have been told that Shelbourne will only supply thermostat with a new oil cooler but I have been on Hydraulic Mega stores website and found their TM6 range (which look similar) for £27.20 but which one do I need as many different temperatures and option of normally open or normally shut?
I guess 70 or 80 degrees?
It needs to trigger my fan

Well done Shelbourne:). This post has been spotted and a new thermostat is being sent directly from Shelbourne. Many thanks Shelbourne(y)

Perhaps this should be in the machinery section, but I'm looking to change our hedger- have a McConnell pa590, 54hp, which is 17yrs old and doesn't owe us much. what would people's thoughts be on an equivalent newer one? It's for farm rather than contract work, and would ideally like joystick (though not essential) and 1.2m head. Would sit behind a jd6900. I'd rather have simple and solid, than anything too fancy, but seeing as i dont know much about them I'm hoping this is a good place to start!

Many thanks.

Anyone got any ideas for mounting two of these either on hedger or tractor?

There was post in one of the papers months ago about Lincolnshire county council (I think) looking mechanical and agricultural engineers to design a vehicle to cut and collect road side verge trimmings for use in AD Plants.
Wouldn't surprise me if we have to do the same with hedge clippings soon too
