Interesting. However on long runs the 180 slew would come into its own.
I take on board what you're saying about the controls though, and I guess one side is always going to be preferable to the other, for all sorts of reasons.
It’s great on ditch work, you don’t need the precision that you do on a hedge

makes a big difference where yer shuttle or reverse gear 'stick' is.ir

was fun using pa22 righthand cut on the road :nailbiting:

on anual trimming espcially with yer roller down, growth tends to grow 'directionally' (forwards away from the head)so going around the other way every now and then sorts this ....dont look so good at the time tho.....sucks it in a bit
Yeah looking forward at lorrys thundering at you and doing bends on the wrong side of the road is not fun I was glad to get off that machine , all the hedges in work were cut for years by a contractor with a right hand machine then we got our own on the left and it all looked shite the first year 3 years later and s few hedges are buggers to get tidy

My dad is desperate to get a right hand for at home (what we had 15 plus years ago and 1st trimmer I used) been using bosses last few years and dads done a bit when I stop for lunch, and he really couldn't get on with the joystick (clipped a few fence posts!:oops::ROFLMAO:).

Hoping he'll be happy with 'bang bang' controls don't fancy going back to cable.

What are the red rectangular electrical connectors called?

Got a fresh trimmer coming for home and want to copy works how it’s connected up to the battery, lastly how easy are these connectors to work with?

Very easy as the crimps are part of the spade connectors so crimp and fit the spades into the plastic section and push until they lock into their tabs. Available from your new dealer in crediton for around £6 a side as they can get then via Krampe for next day. 50 amp version is what you needs.
They may well try to change your pink tractor's to blue tho if you see the rep:facepalm:
