Any body use flails direct. Just been quoted half the price of genuine flails, Iv heard a few rumours that they seem 'soft'
I've used them, excellent service & delivery. Front edges on the boot flails chipped up fairly quickly, gave them a whip over with the grinder & they've been okay since although I've not been doing much recently.

I use them, pretty good for my verge mowing flails, never had to get new hedge flails as I'm still using the oem ones. I had a few problems with shackles that were breaking and they sent me some from a new supplier and they were much much better and I got them at a highly discounted rate for my troubles. Will recommend.

Here go's a dopey question!(n)

Is there any chance a crawler tractor could be mounted with a hedge cutter?

I guess the hand controls would need to be altered to foot controls as ones left hand is busy enough with Trimmer controls?

How fast is a crawler going to be for trimming? Maybe too fast?

Would carrying a Trimmer out on one side damage tracks? Rubber or steel's best?

I know transportation would be a pain but not impossible.
Just wondering really if it's at all possible as all fields left to trim are far to wet and most have been since the season opened and I haven't had much to do with crawlers but I have seen several with linkage and pto?

I can remember hedge trimming with a Bomford on a Ford 7600 that we had put Terra Tyres on one wet year. Spent more time steering with the independants but at least it only left wide shallow ruts not deep narrow ones

Having the same problem up here due to the wet summer and the crazy rule of not being able to cut hedges in August when we should be cutting on stock farms.

Birds must be having a right laugh at hedge cutting finishing today Can’t see them building in below zero temperatures
Have been cutting hedges for 40 odd years now and I have never once seen a birds nest in March, and as for not starting in August its absolutely crazy. When are we supposed to cut hedges once the August crops are drilled !!!!.
