Impressive numbers......... almost 10% of adults are fully jabbed.

31.4 million have had their first....
The missus is just back from her shift vaccinating at The Centre For Life,Newcastle. 20% did not turn up! First time its happened since they started vaccinating. They use the AZ vaccine, and think its to do with the publicity of blood clots on the brain.

It could potentially be a worrying trend. The job is not finished yet,but if 20% of the 40 - 50 age group think "sod it,i will take my chance.I dont want a blood clot". When lockdown ends, could set the R rate up again.

Billy Bunter and the Gove the rate will coerce the young 'uns into being vaccinated by making the vaccine passport obligatory, maybe not the pub but certainly other venues such as stadiums, theatres, nightclubs. Cannot avoid government interference when it is determined.

Presume Flu vaccine will be mandatory for the over 60s this autumn - after all we are the ones at risk of blocking up the health service with flu.

And then sugar on ration.

Sugar is a much bigger killer than any virus. I used to have a very sweet tooth but as I've entered the old git phase I cant abide cakes / sweets etc. No idea why.

Hi .
I'm the same.
I did not realise how much sugar is added to processed foods.
The same applies to salt.
When you go lo sugar lo salt diet after food has a lot more flavour.

I think it's now got to be a big question mark for females in the under 55 age group who don't have any underlying health conditions or at high risk of exposure to the virus. Just the risk of long covid v cerebral thrombosis :scratchhead:

I wondered whether contraception could be a factor, but it seems that any of these rare clotting events are so rare, it's probably not implicated.

They are indeed rare, but death or serious complications from Covid are also rare in this group. And as yet the vast majority of this age group is yet to be vaccinated. It's a catch 22, highlighting it as risk, no matter how small and publicising the symptoms will automatically reduce the number willing to have the vaccine. But hiding this possibility is potentially irresponsible. :scratchhead:

I assume there is some sort of contraception in the vaccine itself given Bill Gates and Klaus Schawb's desire to reduce the population as they have publicly expressed.

One of the joys of working for the NHS is exposure to lurgy`s.

I`m normally in fine fettle, not had a day off sick in my 14 years in the job. Until yesterday.

Felt a bit "blurgh" on Monday but thought it was just a cold or the like, no reason to panic.

Work on my own in my own office so toddled into work as usual. By mid afternoon that was that...... temperature. shivers, throat like a bag of nails.

Anyway rules say "self isolate" so went home. That now grounds Mrs M (also NHS) for 14 days.

Day Two (today) temperature has peaked at 38.4 ..... headache is a dull throb and the throat is still sore as a sore thing. Day time TV is carp, the News is "repetitive" and I`m bored already. :ROFLMAO:

Last few girlfriends have been doctor doctor nurse primary school teacher. All a constant source of infection.

Nearly a week in here and still flattened. Taste and smell fine, I've not had a temperature and i have no chest tightnesss....but I am absolutely shattered all the time, to the extent i havent got the energy to walk, and sleeping more than i'm awake. Rancid.
I had the same and it lingers. Extreme fatigue but no real other symptoms other than aches and pains. I have to set alarms now as I will sleep for 24 hours if not. But OK once I'm up and about. Whatever I had felt like a constant hangover at the time which it wasn't as I was driving taxis and running a bar where staff were not allowed to drink. Nasty.

They say blood clots are 1 in 800k people in the average population , with covid the odds come down to 1 in 6 apparently .

I suspect the pill maybe a factor with these younger women , or covid or both .

No idea where you get 1 in 6, unless you have picked up on a study relating just to Covid patients in ICU. Thrombotic complications are highly lightly due to the incidence of sticky blood in life threating cases of Covid. :scratchhead:
