Got a 2005 2.7petrol biturbo allroad, 120k when i bought it, paid £1500 18 months ago with 12 months MOT and recent service and not missed a beat, supposedly 250bhp but doesnt feel it as its a heavy car. If it blows up i will scrap it and find another. Downside is it does 20mpg if you go steady.
That's still just 2.5 days/gal

I have had 2 passat CC both dsg gearboxes 2ltr diesel versions , with out a doubt the most comfortable car I have ever driven the later one did 51mpg no problem had the earlier one 47 mpg loved them both loads of spec as standard that is unusual for a vw highly recommend you get a one with leather heated seats a dsg gearbox you will love it .
I’ve been in a passatt before and loved it I just want something that feels nice me and the girlfriend try to go away once a month so do quite a few long motorway trips aswell

They are a great cars it used to eat up motorway miles find one with as much spec on as you can , the second one I had was a demonstrator and had some other extras i would not have ordered but where an added benefit dark red leather seats are apparently pretty rare but they looked great , adaptive cruise control was a nice feature but without them the car was no worse .
servicing was variable and usually came up at 18k .

get one bought

24 but insurance is threw farm
Decent discount in insurance premiums when you get to 25.

Fiesta ST, tidy ex PCP cars at auction were making £10k, and there seemed to be plenty to choose from. Golf GTD’s were costing about 3 to 4K more.
