Just buy a Range Rover an be done with.

As Clarkson and co once said it’s all the car you ever need.....

Edit - get the full fat version though not one of the yuppie trucks....

At 24 something classy like a BMW 335i touring or an M3 would be a serious ride and enough to show the wannabies a clean pair of heels. Extreme you-know-what magnet too.

I love the E92 M3 saloon. It looks prettier than the 2 door coupe but I really really want an Alpina B3.

The Lexus ISF mind needs a look at: 400hp and 5.0 V8.

E92 saloon is classed as e90, I agree, they look amazing. They need the competition pack wheels from the coupe to really look their best though.

We’ve had a couple of Octavia Vrs’s both petrol and a new shape diesel, both been very good cars. Definitely worth a look! Also got an Audi Rs4 but you will struggle to find a decent one under £15k and are mega money pits if not cared for. You cant go far wrong with a Golf Gti though i rekon, quick enough for what you need these days whilst still being fairly cheap to run

An e92 m3 would be a good call and won’t cost a £ in depreciation most likely - investment really imo

Great cars but forget comp pack cars for the budgets mentioned

I would suggest the BMW 130i M sport, too. Classy and plenty fast enough.

Can the OP give us some background on what else he does in life besides going to work and maybe we can formulate something more accurate for him?
My car gets used for everything from going a few hundred miles down the motorway to getting its seats folded up and used as a work van
Must be able to cope with rough farm lonings and be half decent in snow I’ve only ever had cheap hatchbacks that can take abit of abuse which is why I’m putting more thought into what will be my fancier car

Just played with the trip computer on my 1.4 ibiza for the first time I’ve always thought it’s a bit gutless and needs abit of throttle on hills and to get going it’s only averaged 29mpg :(

What do you think of Xdrive BMW’s there’s a few 320s in my budget

It's only the 2.0 4 cylinder engine so it won't be particularly lairy or fast.

Xdrive the jury is out for me, I would sooner an Audi or Subaru if you needed AWD.

No good worrying about mpg if you are only doing modest miles per year, there is no saving to be had, particularly since you are only getting 29mpg from a 1.4 so you must be a throttle monster like I was.

If you are going down rough farm tracks then the Scoob/Volvo angle is getting larger. Saab also do a jacked up estate car with a monster petrol engine.

You probably mean 9-3X. The 2.0T is a great engine. Then there's the TurboX model which is estate or sedan with 2.8T V6 engine. The 2.0 is more reliable, but the 2.8 will be more fun. :D Plus the 2.0 can be converted to bi-fuel easily.
