I think Agrimax is a very skilled mechanic to be able to do that.
I know my hands couldn’t do it now and probably never.
Definitely worth a try it will save time.
The correct way is to lift the hydraulic top off and remove it. The job is then easy. Watch out for the two o rings for the brake lines in the rear frame.

Not done by me Andy. Another poster on the forum from a few years ago. Many years ago I did have a brief go at one through the side but didn't pursue it as I realised it wasn't worth the bother for all the time the hand brake would last again!!

Good job mates! :)
I would like to know some info for oil capacity and grades what you used to use you Case IH tractors.
Engine oil 15W40 mineral oil.
Transmision, hydraulics- hytran. What is the capacity for 1056xl?
Axles?
Coolant is the green one.
Hmm what else? I want to make some TLC before grass season's hard jobs with my 1056xl.

Don’t forget the hydraulic oil is separate on these. I use 46 hydraulic oil in my 955. Can’t remember what it holds 35litres probably.
15/40 is right for the engine say 13-15 litres
Transmission is hytran. I think I put 9 gallons of 80/90 in the 955 but it is not pressure lubed like the 56 series.
If you’re changing the coolant (50% antifreeze/water mix) you might want to change the coolant conditioning filter if it has one.
4wd axle oils will be 85/140 gear oil.
Hope the weather is good for you.

Struggling to remember, but how many separate housings (oil wise) are there in the 55/56 series tractors?

Thanks Sir! Ok, I'll remember what you said when choose the right kind of oil in seperate system. :)
Yes, weather is nice but too dry, grass is quite weak and doesn't grow as it should grow. But good that now it's getting warmer than previous week. ;)

Engine oil...12.5l.
Front axle...6l of 80w90.(if 4wd of course).
Front hubs...1l in each of 80w90.
Rear reduction hubs...7l each ..80w90.
Hydraulic system...46l of UTTO (or Hytran if you wish).
Transmission...30l of UTTO or Hytran.
Isn't the steering separate too...? 32 hyd oil for it I think.
And the brake reservoir uses UTTO or HT. as well.
