The Meaningful Vote

It could be as low as 50 as plotting to stop Brexit may change a lot of minds
230.

The man who bemoans how the CAP has denuded his valley of small dairy farmers - whilst rack-renting the half a dozen small dairy farms that his more sensible old man bought up during the heyday of the CAP - might usefully reconsider his maths.

And his views.

Is now meaningless, because it's already lost by all accounts.

But before next week, is anyone prepared to stake their judgement on:

1. by what margin will Theresa May fail in her attempt to ratify her Agreement?

2. what will be the nature of her 'Plan B'?

I'll go first - yes 250, no 380. Theresa May needs to lose by less than 166 to avoid begetting the biggest Commons defeat ever. 'Ever' as in ever.

Then an application to extend Article 50, before reporting back on what the EU27's conditions may be.

Well done. She lost by an amazing 230 votes.

After the leave/stay referendum , Brexit was always going to be a poison chalice to WHOEVER was in number 10 , why anyone would even contemplate taking on the task is beyond me .
She's made of sterner stuff than that idiot Cameron, who will undoubtedly go down in history as the worst UK Prime Minister ever. He's left the mess to be managed by others. He managed to split the country and may yet see another civil war [Ireland] and the loss of Scotland from the UK. It probably won't remain an UK for long after this actually.

Calm down , let's run the clock down to the 29th of march , then ask our EU friends if they wish to talk , the world won't stop , .:)
Our trade with the EU is shrinking whereas trade on WTO has increased 40% in the last 20 years

We'll see. The "easiest, quickest deal ever" has not materialised as promised. I knew it wouldn't of course, because the EU [we are currently still part of] is excellent at protecting and acting for its member States. As of 29th March their gloves will be well and truly off. As in a "EU First" version of "America First".

Personally I've always counted that we are better and stronger together. An 'internationalist'. Certainly not a 'nationalist' with either small or big N.

Rubbish , 95% of EU nations are pi55 poor , The EU is about Germany and for Germany .

We don't fit in and we don't need them , innovation is the master of invention .
