How do you know what I think?
Your garbled post doesn't describe a current threat that justifies increased defense spending.

Your right.
I don't know what you think.
Neither do I care.
I apologise though....... It was meant as a question to all.... not just you.
What increased defence spending?
Thought the thing was about all members of NATO honouring their commitments?

NATO they say has kept the peace in Europe since WW2 and that it should be supported into the future.

If that is the case and he countries in Europe want it to stay in place why are they not honoring their agreement to pay 2% of GDP to cover the cost..?

The president is merely pointing out to these people that they need to pay the bill.........is it right that you the people of Britain should pay when others do not...?

Is it right that as reported the U.S. picks up 80% of the tab. Many here could care less about Europe and want that money spent at home.

We all know the reason for NATO was to counter the soviet threat. Maybe Trump is right it is past it's sell by date. BTW the 2% of GDP isn't binding. It is nonsensical really since that aim means rising military spending whatever the threat level, at times of economic growth.

Ultimately Europe's defence should be a European problem. We should welcome the US and Canada's participation but not wholly rely on it, as they have their own additional threats well away from our boarders.

I am always interested in the differing view of posters on here so would / will how a UK / USA trade deal differ from the current UK / USA arrangements with UK as a member of the EU. What could be the advantages / disadvantages.

Hormone laced beef for lunch. GM grain in your cornflakes. Sovereignty transfer from Westminster to boardrooms of Monsanto, Pfizer, etc. Bit like the way TTIP was shaping up before it staggered.

I find the issue of standards of foreign food which might be imported to UK post brextit an odd issue.

I have not travelled abroad out of the UK since 2008. And before that I last went to the USA in 1988. So I am not well travelled. However, I observe that many people travel to the USA and elsewhere in the world daily for business and leisure. I ponder occasionally whether those among them who disagree with hormone treated beef, chlorinated chicken, GM grain and soya take their own UK / EU food with them? And whenever I see a USA citizen on TV they look reasonably healthy - well some are pretty hefty folk but I see similar hefty folk in my local town high street. So is this USA food that bad for us - well financially for farmers probably yes, animal welfare maybe.

Hey ho.

As I was saying. UK out of the SM will be keen to do business with Uncle Sam. Nevertheless when it comes to negotiations it will be kinda rough.

Who the fekk cares what economists predict?
They just spout shite all the time to justify their jobs.
They are hardly movers and shakers nor people that get stuff done.
More like festering ulcers.
You could get a far more accurate prediction of the future state of the economy and deals done from consulting Gypsy Rose at your local country fair.

Poor auld Jeffys days look numbered.

Rumours abound the next successful exit will be a Rexit.

How's that alternative to Obamacare going?

Senator calls Trump crazy.

There's something else but there's been so much I've forgotten it....

and I didn't even mention the opinion polls.

But the wall is going to be beautiful! Solar panels on top.
Transparent wall to boot, so the white dudes on the American side can see the big heavy bags of drugs being thrown over by the gringos on the other side :D
