The most dangerous man in the world

I guess watching someone you despise so much make a success of something must be really galling. How do you deal with that........ try going on an internet forum and spout about triviality, it might work .........for you..!
Sorry Rodger i have openly stated on here i think his short term economic policies could well win him a second term if he chooses to stand. admittedly opinion polls at the moment point to a democratic win come the autumn but that's a long way away. there was a programme on British TV last night talking to 4 trump voters from last yr. 3 were very happy the 4th- a democrat by nature said should could not bring herself to vote for him again because even though the coal mine she works at is busier she felt the way he was "leading" was not in the national interest.
those are the voters he has to maintain so i do continuely wonder why he focuses so much time on his core base when by just widening his base a little would make him a shoe in in 3yrs.
Where i do respect him is in the fact that he is doing what he promised in his manifesto. Hopefully we will see movement on infrastructure soon .The only real backtracking has been on getting the Mexicans to pay for his wall and health care but his core is happy so nothing to worry about.
Despise is a harsh word Rodger i'm not sure i despise the Donald its more a sense of pity really and a wish for a more bipartisan politics world wide.

Our politicians are fixated on the "special relationship". Can you imagine why they think it "crucial" to England's future? As I am sure you know Roger, they stopped thinking in terms of Britain sometime ago.

Sad really, if you cannot make it on your own then its' time to call it a day, it has not always been so, 150 years ago England was the tyranical superpower of the age, largest fleet of ships/large military............what happened, be hard pressed to get 2-3 ships on the ocean now.

Living in England for two thirds of my life I do understand a little of the mentality that exists, the rise and fall of different governments since WW2 somehow have eroded the spirit of the previous generations, somehow the will to succeed seems so much less. easy to say the extensive welfare state has robbed people of ambition, but its' something more than that..?

Yeah. Magic....Its not like the USA isnt buoying along on a global growth surge. All he did was cut taxes, the usual Republican measure.
Take your head out of the sand, his changes have done more than that just look at the car industry going back there giving people jobs

So Chrysler is not going to America from Mexico (that the one this week but many have before them)
That is one huge take away from the new tax code repatriation costs can go down as a tax break. big incentives to take jobs home(y).

As for economic growth personally it reminds me of the period just before Blair got in. Kenneth Clarke did the hard yards as chancellor and brown got the credit before fudging it up. I'm not saying trump will fudge it up but he has inherited an economy that has endured a huge amount of pain caused by the excesses of previous governments. and had come out the other side.
It will be interesting in time to see how much of future growth will due to the huge cut in regulation compared with the tax cut.
My biggest fear is the American economy will overheat in the next 18-24 months.
