The most dangerous man in the world

I have to wonder why the NRA is so against mental heath examinations and the ownership of guns. Maybe they are worried that their membership may suddenly halve.

Trump signed for the removal for Obama era ban that would have added 75000 names to a list of those unsuitable for gun ownership due to mental health issues.

The NRA distorted the facts of it (lied) and claimed it prevented elderly men and women.

Saint Obama did nothing about it at the start of his time in office when he had both houses and enough votes for the 61 Threshold but it’s trump who the bad guy

Obama doesn't deny that he wishes he could have done more to exercise tighter gun control.
His first term was more focused on gun rights, rather than control, actually signing bills to allow weapons packed in bags to be allowed into state parks.
He and the Democratic Party knew no will existed to push back against gun control when canvassing memo's like this from the NRA were issued

Barack Obama would be the most anti-gun president in American history. Senator Obama says 'words matter.' But when it comes to your Second Amendment rights, he refuses to speak honestly about where he stands. In fact, Obama hides behind carefully chosen words and vague statements of support for sportsmen and gun rights to sidestep and camouflage the truth."

On the eve of the second election they said this.

"If Barack Obama wins a second term in office, our Second Amendment freedom will not survive. Obama will never have to face the voters again, and will therefore be unleashed to push the most extreme elements of his gun-ban agenda to every corner of America."

After sandy hook the Senate blocked an amendment proposing background checks on commercial gun sales. It failed in a 54-46 vote, falling short of the 60 votes needed to advance. Even if it had ultimately passed, though, then-Speaker John Boehner never said whether he would bring it up for a vote in the House. That same day, the Senate also rejected a proposal to reinstate the assault weapons ban by a wide margin -- in a 40-60 vote. The decade-long measure expired in 2004 and was signed into law by President Bill Clinton in 1994.

He also made scores of executive actions to strengthen existing measures that didn't require congress.

He could have done better. But he done something.

Yes, I am an adult, a man, and yes I do put others first, but I'm also a realist and I've realised people are not predictable.

Ah huh. Your right, I'm not judging others 'metal' or 'moral fibre' or 'emotional fibre' by my own 'girly moral fibre' but you are!

Your more than happy to project what you THINK someone should do in such a situation.

Your very confident in your abilities. You or I unless placed in the EXACT same situation of actually hearing the thud and ring of a high power assault rifle thundering out rounds right there and then CANNOT know how to react.

It's commendable that you had to act in the way you did at 16, successfully too as your still alive but also its sad to be faced with such a situation, but don't you think that being threatened with a gun is slightly different from actually being there hearing the screams and deafening blarges of gunfire?

sh!t would get very real very fooking quick.

You and your father survived your ordeal but wouldn't it been better not to been threatened with a gun at all?

It's good to know heroes still exist as coming from a family farm on the Irish border our family have never had close friends or family shot to pieces or our moral fibre tested.

All I see is someone only too willing to blame circumstances for lack of morality.

You're a whimp and should never be put in a position where others need to rely on you.

Plenty of people can and do put their lives at risk.

If they didn't people like you would spend most of your lives running and hiding.

I would add Obama didn’t come up with crackpot idea of arming teachers after any of the attacks that took place on his watch. I guess American schools and universities will just have to cough up to turn themselves into fortresses complete with there own trained firearms officers. Maybe the NRA would sponsor such a scheme?

Trump didn’t,one of the members of the ordinance came up with it if you had watched the live show not that you would of known if you only watch what the media want you to see

Plenty of schools and colleges already have metal detectors and armed guards at entrances.

Just another bit of fake outrage by Liberals that have created a societes based on gang culture, violence and drugs.

There is a correlation between lack of violence and lack of violent deaths but it's one deliberately censored by Liberals becuase they can't face the truth of their own stupidity.

Bitch please, you know nothing of me. Call me all the names you like as it says more about you but unless you attend a mass shooting in the near future you know nothing either.

For the UK yes I would agree with you.

I have never lived in the USA but I do know there are wildly different laws and culture.

Such as some states allowing people to carry concealed guns, metal detectors & guards on schools and the rights to protect property using arms - and of course the prevailance of arms in crime.

So yes, in the UK it makes sense not to have armed teachers .. in the USA ? I don't know, I would have thought people couldn't feasibly get shot for knocking on a door but it happens in the USA.

I lived in usa for 4 years..its different...i dont like the bandaid idea but if it saves a life then its worth a shot...man i would have been a good boy if i knew my teacher had a gun lol!!!

Seems to be that they might look at ex military people for being stationed in school...sad really...shouldnt be needed but thats the cost of the second amendment...

Personally i think the 2nd is gone...long gone...and until they have an outside court elected by the people and taken out of the hands of govt agencies they havent got a chance aginst tyranical govt...i believe a court of judges elected by the people stationed in the midwest..that replace the congress oversight commitee which is a joke should be implemented so they have a mechanism that works...

The govt dont need guns anymore..they have the tech to control and monitor you..you cant fight that...
