Strange then that the worlds' top selling vehicle is produced in the U.S.A.

Chevrolet Cruze? Looks a nice little hatchback. 1.6 diesel engine - very good specification and fuel consumption figures which is an important issue for us Europeans with higher fuel price. I had a look at the US website and Chevrolet marketing compares it favourably to the Ford Focus in US. I assume but have not looked up that the US Ford Focus is same or similar vehicle to the European Ford Focus. I note Chevrolet started sponsoring Manchester United a few years ago with a view I assume to break more into the European market.

Just because something is sold in large numbers does not mean it is good. Do McDonalds' sales figures tell you anything about how good their product is?

Look at the luxury car market in the US. The bulk of it is German. What does that tell you.
Put the tariffs at the same amount and then you will see what they will buy or better still why won’t the eu take up trump offer of 0 tariffs in what would be a proper free trade agreement but they won’t do that will they

I think he means those environment saving Ford F series Pickups? But they aren't really sold anywhere other than the US in any big numbers.

Oh I see - my apologies to RP I thought it was that little hatchback. But I just googled ( a USA company) and se they sell a million a year of the truck. Looks a good vehicle. Suppose here it would have to compete with our Toyota / Nissan / VW trucks. Just shows how out of touch I am with the world. I drive a 6 year old Nissan Quashqui built in Sunderland though have no idea where all the components came from but Sunderland voted leave so they must think it will be OK on the night.
