No this was what the FBI did with the Clinton evidence. Clintons IT support deleted all of the backups and overwrote the disks with blank data using special security software.

I am not secretary of state for anything but I can tell you, I have had 3 mobile phones I junked myself. I have used different email servers and wiped the two older ones, and I personally have deleted thousands of emails because there is no point in storing millions of them.

You expect someone in a high level political position to have staff that would not destroy or eliminate old emails or documents, given the nature of the role and the chance it would have politically sensitive, confidential or even classified information in them? You expect them to keep it all in a giant treasure vault?
