Just reading The Times newspaper. The following is copied from the article on the Kashoggi affair. Be interesting to see how this pans out. But Mr Trumps statement did not surprise me. Does he really believe rogue killers?

I don't think you have a real appreciation for the nature of FISA nor why it might be used and on whom. Conducting surveillance against US citizens is not something any government intelligence agency can do lightly, it requires justice department oversight and would fall under the mighty gaze of a (bi-partisan) intelligence select committee.

I don't know what exact accusations you are making but I cannot see how mere democrat politicians could be implicated; the majority of them have no responsibility for intelligence matters nor any involvement in the apparatuses of justice or law.

Have government agencies conducted surveillance on American citizens on American soil? Undoubtedly, yes. Were these activities sanctioned by the justice department? Yes. They have to be. Have Republican and Democrat persons been able to see these activities, who was targeted, what material was gathered and why? Yes.

For there to have been any kind of conspiracy regarding FISA the number of people on both sides of the political spectrum who would have to be in on it would be huge, I'm talking a conspiracy on the scale of 9/11 conspiracies. You would never keep it secret because leaks in Washington are just part of the plumbing. But don't let that stop Trump's paranoia, he is at near Stalin-levels of paranoia as it is.

From what I read they are going to do a physical re-count as the numbers voting for each candidate are within the margin of error.
