The Politics of the USA never ceases to amaze, the leader of the free World, yet you insist on killing each other. After the massacres in Schools we have witnessed, how does your conscience allow you to hang on to the historical 2nd Amendment? or, if you insist on the ' right to bear arms' then use equipment similar to when the Amendment was written, at least we wouldn't see massacres and the death rate would slow down.
Hmmph..

It's a sorry state of affairs when seemingly educated people imagine that they're making an argument when they try to tie together two unrelated issues - gun ownership has nothing to do with refugee policy.

All those deep thinkers who reckon otherwise, should try this for size ('cos it's the same, fallacious, argument): "I don't see why France is bothered in the slightest by terrorist killings, when they've lost far more people in heat waves".

Aye, but unlike the hundreds a day killed In America, in France there's more folks getting killed by terrorists than by legally owned firearms.

Border control does indeed need to be addressed in all countries, but not by an outrageously wealthy bully boy racist who spits the dummy whenever they don't get their own way.

Do you think it would be a good idea to elect him and let the third world war commence @Walterp ?

(and it's nice that you're back Walter)

Immigration isn't all bad. Next time your at the doctors or in hospital take note of where most of the doctors and surgeons came from.

Another story to that though.
Up to 40% of UK doctors in certain specialities are emmigrating to work in other countries as soon as they finish their speciality training.

Reverse of Trumps logic needed for them.
Can't leave the UK to work elsewhere for 5 years if you've been trained at UK taxpayers expense.

It was said back in May that Donald was getting into politics to further his TV show, the same man saying the same things is now way out in front and gaining everyday.

The rest of the republican party along with everyone else is trying to tear him down, what happens..? he goes from strength to strength.
And not just white Anglo Saxons, Hispanics and African American support is growing.....go figure.

Because everyone who shows up for work, everyone who pays taxes is totally pee'd off with the way the political system operates in this country........any of this resonate in Britain..?

Remind me of the demographics for Marseilles...

Who's @Walterp and where is he?
40% muslim and increasing. Historically the gateway into France down the ages. A beautiful city becoming a hell hole. Drug wars and arms. The government have decided to clean it up after calls recently in Parliament for the military to take control.
If you're male , you're 23% more likely to die before the age of 65 if you live in Marseilles, than in the rest of France
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer and history continues to repeat itself.
@Walterp - an institution returned. nice to have you back walt, there's a song about Marseilles.

Maybe, a little. But we have decent democracy here, of a sort. In the US it's all about fear and has been for years. People in the UK may get hacked off with their government but few are afraid of it or feel the desire to set up a prepper camp in the wilderness. You guys just need to calm down a bit.

Trump is a tit. You need to not vote for him. The end.

Welcome. Lots of Europeans enjoy hunting / shooting as well. We have lots of freedom in rural areas. We don't sell guns to city folk over the counter. That's what you guys need to look at in my humble opinion. Country folk know about guns and how to use them generally. When your constitution was written, that was probably the spirit of it. That sounds like a dig so I apologise. We have plenty of issues here too. We can all learn much from visiting other cultures.

Thank you for your welcome...and I didn't take that comment as a dig at all...I welcome all comments and questions as I can only answer them in my prospective...and I completely agree with you about the learning from other cultures...had the pleasure of having a few beers with a retired police officer from the UK a few years ago on vacation in cancun.....enjoyed every minute of our conversations....

@le bon paysan I had a rough idea about the situation in Marseilles; the prognosis is not good, unless you happen to be an FN candidate...

Welcome @Brianb7.3 There is, in general, even less knowledge and understanding of your constitution over here than there is in the US. The Founding Fathers had a very great deal of wisdom and wrote an extraordinarily good document for the time, but that is the point, it was written not just for the late Eighteenth Century, but for revolutionary times too. The idea of a 'Citizens' Militia' made great sense then, it guaranteed freedom from a re-attempted British oppression :))) and from an overbearing state - my three year old has just named the 'Smilies' as 'Silly marbles'.

But they were rough times and the constitution was made and intended to be amended as appropriate and necessary to the times - e.g. the 13th, 14th & 15th amendments. I guess that the founders would have thought it crazy for there to be common access to the kinds of weaponry now available. The argue sometimes given is in re' hunting, I've hunted all my life, here and in Africa, and can see no need at all for automatic weapons etc. and have yet to come across any rational reason for their being held. Id hunting isn't pleaded, it always seems to boil down to 'It's my constitutional right...', which is no argument, just a reiteration of the status quo.

As for what Trump has said about London, well he generally talks out of his a*se, but I have felt very unsafe in parts of London, and those were the bits I dared to go in to. To hear our current crop of politicians one would think that we live in a multicultural utopia. We don't, we live in a country where there are large ghettos of 'minorities' generally carrying on as they did in their third-world homes, but with the underlying 'support' of our economy and services. We must have been mad, literally mad...

Is this the real @Walterp? Or a spy, working for 'them'...
