Interesting happenings today in our little sham parliament. Today it stood up and led from the front on these islands, as the first to pass (by a wide margin, across traditional divides) a modern day, socially liberal motion calling for a ban on gay conversion therapy. And it was led by an Unionist politician. Not what the ashtree would have you believe about us.

This problem lays fairly and squarely at the feet of the likes of Starmer, Hammond, Soubrey, and many more, who rather than accept, back and implement a UK wide democratic decision, chose to fight against it and side/collude with the EU.
Boris Johnson, had no other option in the short term, other than to do what has come to pass to break the UK free from that resultant paralysis.
Now there's a warped view if ever I heard one. Johnston gave more up to the EU than anyone.

No fan of Boris but if May & all those stupid stubborn remainers had got their acts together in 2016 after the result things would have definitely turned out differently, instead their intransigence allowed the EU to dictate terms with the result we now have. We all know where the blame really lies!

You think the EU would have been easier to deal with in 2016?
Keep in mind the NI issue was spoken about about long before the Ref. but it was put down to be project fear.

Many of us voted to leave which is fair enough, but only the stupid voted to leave without expecting there to be down sides.

It was so much easier for the EU knowing they were negotiating with a divided country, what’s it they say about “ divide & conquer “!

The EU knew the country would be divided as soon as a referendum was called, May didn't have to do anything.

Everyone who has ever been involved in politics knows that a referendum divides a country, it was always going to happen.

Sir Jeremy Heywood

he told MPs there had been no formal contingency planning for a Leave vote, as the government's official position had been to remain in the EU.

"What we didn't do is what we do during a general election campaign, when you have a manifesto from the opposition that has very specific pledges and you actually engage and talk to the opposition directly to try to understand those," he said.

"We didn't go as far as that, and that I think is the red line that he [David Cameron] imposed."

Asked by Conservative Cheryl Gillan whether Mr Cameron had personally stopped officials from approaching Leave campaigners so they could do the same level of preparatory work on different outcomes as they would in a general election, he replied: "He did not want us talking to the Leave campaigners and working out elaborate plans for what would happen in the event of a Leave [vote]."

Referendums dividing a country is not the problem, it’s the losing side pathetically refusing to accept the result that’s the problem!

yes let blame the stupid stubborn remainers for not fixing the sh!t storm we made. we had 40 years of blaming the EU for the f**k ups we done, so we need someone new to blame

the same way the "brexiters" never accept the ref back in 75 and spend 40 years lying and failing to do their jobs

i do love how the brexiters fail to remember that we live in a democracy, and it up to the WINNING side to implement the the winning vote,

Promised Arlene undying faithfulness to the Union. Promptly shafted her when the time suited.
Promised he would “die in a ditch”, rather than ask EU for an extension to the transition period. Then he did ask for the said extension, but multiple search and rescue teams scouring the ditches of UK, found no sign of Boris, with rigor mortis having set in.
Thats not true
