DUP did much better as the shouty opposition party of paisley, where they had zero responsibility and nothing concrete to be judged on. Having the mandate to run things and do negotiations has gone quite badly. I'll bet some of them long for the old days of being the noisy underdog with no accountability for their actions.

To be fair though, everyone is the same in that it's easy to criticize or make a fuss when someone else is doing the job, but as soon as someone hands you the ropes all of a sudden you're responsible and become the one open to ridicule.

And that’s the place where the Shinners need to be put. That will probably be in ROI, as the governance system in NI hasn’t yet evolved to a normal situation.
I’m sure the Shinner halo, will quickly dissolve, once real world responsibility is placed on their shoulders.
