The NI/ROI Protocol

The main reason why southern politicians (and indeed pretty much anyone in the south) can get away with stuff is that outside the south itself nobody really gives a sh1t.

In fact in many cases it's own citizens seem more preoccupied with what their neighbours are doing as well.

Maybe a wee bit more attention to their own affairs and less poking their nose in to other peoples wouldn't go amiss!

Failure to resolve the NI Protocol is causing serious issues with UK Science as EU will not ratify Horizon and Copernicus monies and arrangements - having linked these to the NI Protcol issue. Very sad days for UK Science.
The NI Protocol is part of the Withdrawal Agreement and so is the Protocol on Spain/ Gibraltar and the Protocol for Cyprus/ Greece (UK military bases). If the UK continue to refuse to implement the deal and arbitrarily change it, ultimately the EU could walk away from the Withdrawal Agreement. How is Spain taking Gibraltar back going to go down in the Tory shires?

I'm not in any way connected to any of the loyal orders nor ever intend to be. However we had a great day at our wee parade in Glenarm today, caught up with lots of friends and acquaintances. Our kids had a great time, plenty of activities for them and a powerful Bible message from the platform. All in all a good day, finished off with a fish supper out of the chippy for tea.
