The NI/ROI Protocol

And this twit of twits, gets tens of thousands of votes to put him in parliament. Makes his colleague Sammy Wilson look quite intelligent, which is a feat in itself.

Nobody who's ever been born yet has the ability to make Sammy Wilson look intelligent.
IPJ just got caught in the moment I think, and he looked like he was as full as a bingo bus, so probably wasn't taking time to think.

So really, at the end of the day, there is an effective solution to the protocol issues, which have been blessed by Joe Biden, in so far as he assured Boris, that such a solution would not hamper a UK - USA free trade agreement. Time to step up and grab the opportunity with both hands.

Basically yes. Much the same as every British prime minister since thatcher.

However, equal blame lies with the DUP for not being smarter about it. They've just allowed this issue to hang around like a bad smell for the terrorists to use when it suits them. Far better to have taken that tool away from them by getting something passed long before now. Yes, an Irish and ulster-scots act will be a compete nonsense, of no practical use to anyone, a burden to the taxpayer and council rate payer, and only serve to harden divisions among people. What we obviously need is less flags and emblems, not more. But then again, when did common sense matter. Far better to have passed something in the assembly, clearly stating these reservations, while not wishing to be seen as denying minority rights - and let the public see for themselves the reality of it.
