Oh dear.
The difference in reporting!
European press reports Boris being handed a rope to hang himself...
The EU didn't climb down. They did what no Tory idiot has done and went to NI to talk to businesses. Then they came up with a solution to address their concerns. Pity Boris didn't bother to do that before he devised and signed the Protocol, and then effectively blamed himself because it's failing.
Mind you, it'll apparently make very little difference to NI because, according to interviews tonight, most businesses have given up on the UK as a lost cause and are now buying their supplies from the EU via Ireland. That's why trade between the North and South is flourishing as UK exports to the world sink. At the end of the day, NI entrepreneurs have 2 choices. Export to a piddly market of 65 million who are getting poorer by the day or export to the EU's market of 1/2 billion who are wealthy.

Any business in the UK wanting to grow should move to NI... Or further South...

Why did boris propose and agree to the NIP
Most of the time the people of the UK have been let down over and over again with the leaders that represent them. It was the same in the EU parliament , agreed to terms and conditions that they should not, and as we see now did not know what way the agreement affects ordinary peoples lives. When they come home and discover their action hey presto it's the EU fault instead of their own inability to steer the result the way it would benifit the UK. The is no strong negotiators on the UK gov side and all the deals that are yet to be done make me think that we will see them coming home and he presto it's not what we thought it was. The people deserve better politicians

That‘s an interesting read. You are left with the impression that NI is doing fine out of the protocol. If anywhere has lost out, it would appear to be the Hollyhead and Liverpool ports, which have lost so much traffic from Dublin, which included goods from NI exiting and entering the island via Dublin.

see wee Jeffery is turning out to be the weakest DuP leader yet.

He failed to lead from the front by becoming a MLA, instead deciding the the pay is better as a MP.

now he back tracking like mad so he doesn't take down Stormont as the NIP is still in force

heard one Tory call him the Boy who cried wolf as in
if you don't remove the NIP I'll collapse Stormont
if you pass the Irish language act I'll collapse Stormont
no one taking him serious now
