Is it just me ? Facebook, Twitter and TFF full of combine pictures working in ideal conditions yet we are still a few days from starting OSR here - Monday most likely

Weather like this is testing patience - am I the only farmer in the uk not started yet ?

Did two days last week. Hopefully try again tomorrow.

Bits being done around here now, still barleys and OSR standing around though.

Some have moved in to wheats. Wet straw everywhere makes a lime spreading contractor very glum.....

Does walking thru the wheat pulling a few heads count as started?.
If not, no.
To the left is my neighbour cutting wheat for crimping, on the right was a very smart fellow that lead down as I got the camera out

Probably make a start tomorrow. Drying well in the sun and wind circa 18% now.

Hopefully the corn dollies have done there job and we've have a good run. Don't think this year's last bushel will be as bright as last years!

Finishing touches to the kit. Us remoaners never miss a chance to preach!

was hoping to start wheat tomorrow but a few more heavy downpours this morning put paid to that idea! Hope Countryfile forecast is right and we have a warm dry spell on the way-my patience is wearing thin!

Have you ever thought of have a sticky topic for farming news . Things that arnt worth opening a topic on . Like our local mart closing. Just me passing time . missed my flight so I'm stick in the airport
