It’s too late already.

Farms are like supertankers, they take a long time to turn around.

Good job we don’t rely on imported food……….. :nailbiting: :nailbiting: :nailbiting:
higher food prices and shortages are deserved to by many in this country, the arrogant attitude towards the producer of the primary provider of lives essentials is incredible.Nobody wants to be labelled as a hero for being a farmer but we should never have been constantly labelled as evil destroyers of the countryside, They reap what they sow. Unfortunately it is the poor which will suffer ironically probably the ones which valued food already.

Does all out food production have to come with all out environmental destruction?

Surely we don't want to live somewhere that only humans and our chosen species can live?

In any case it's far from clear to me that food commodity production is any more profitable now than it has been for the last few years at current input and output prices

Hfd yesterday was heaving with people / traffic . Couldn't get Sunday Lunch unless it was a 'low market' chain pub .
Car parks all full up ....people are still spending ! No sign of a letup in the amount of traffic .
...eventaually ended up at a little country pub where the food was great and it was heaving .

Dont forget Herefordshire is the home of relocating retirement people
with big pensions .Sad when you go to Bristol less than 50 miles away
and see the job opportunities being created .
