The real cost of Brexit?

Wow. Brexit hasn't happened. The Brexit leaders can't decide when it will happen. Nobody Brexit leaders included knows the conditions on which will happen, when it happens IF it happens.

And you conclude your net margin is up because of this so called Brexit!!

Go on then, put some numbers up and your logic!!!
The value of the pound has shifted significantly, maybe you have not noticed, so what I sell in Euros has resulted in a 25% increase in my net margin. For you subsidy junkies you will notice that change in Sept if you elected to be paid in euros.

I voted leave, have no regrets at all and I believe it will be for the best in the long run, especially for our profession, but I do think a lot of younger working people in this country need an almighty kick up the backside.I have seen 2 instances this week, talking to someone that delivers online shopping orders to people, said she hasn't had a day off for weeks cos everytime we get a sunny day half the workforce calls in sick.Same thing at a local pub/restaurant(admittedly part of a large chain)yesterday one of the sunniest and busiest days of the summer,so short of staff they could hardly serve any food, rainy day before, plenty of staff. Why has the work ethic of so many youngsters changed so much? I think they have been educated to expect much more from life, which is fine but they don't realise they have to earn it, foreign workers in this country aren't like that at all.
The worst thing ever done was to pay people for the first 3 days of sickness without a doctors line.
I am about to start a production line both here and in europe. Zero hrs contracts gets round that caper. Old school, expected to be on parade 5 mins before shift, 5 mins late docked 15 mins pay, 10 mins late docked 30 mins, more than that sent home for the day with a written warning.
Any phone that lights up, rings or buzzes finds itself in a bucket of water. The effect is worth the replacement cost which of course means you supposedly send it away for repair for a couple of weeks then replace it second hand from the game shop. Deters any further infractions from the rest of the troops.
If you do not like my terms get a job with the civil service.
I was brought up in the day when a forty hour week was any two days you fancied.

Ah, right !!!
Sterling has shifted downward 25% against the euro resulting in your margin jumping by 25% as you get paid in euros!!!
1. Sterling hadn't devalued by anything near 25%.

2. If it had and you gained all that 25% all the way to your net margin, it would follow that 100% of your sales are in euros!!
If that was the case it would be very very hard indeed to figure out why you would be a Brexit supporter in the first instance.

Have a nice day!!

Starting a production line in Europe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy cow, all that bullsheeet regulations to be contended with. You know, all the nonsense Brexit gets rid of.
And you lose that fantastic (imaginary) currency gain you have had since Brexit you boasted about in another post!!!!!!

What ever you're smoking I think you should pass around! Maybe we could all benefit from a little bit of transient delusional thinking. But of a release one might call it!

Not wanting to get in between you two but I believe he said 25% increase in net margin, not increase in currency or output price.

There is nothing good in TTIP for the average European or American, only big international corporates stand to gain from it. Gove is no more than an ambitious fool, that much he has already proved..

Arithmetic is not your forte. The value of the whole product has increased by the same % as the drop in the pound which has resulted in a 25% increase in net margin.

Box clever pal, make sure you have a foot in both camps, cover your bases.
You only imagine that europe has the same rules as we dream up on their behalf. The French for instance will agree to any law you create as they have absolutely no intention of carrying any of it out.
As quoted in a previous post 27% of all Euro notes are 500E. Are you sure they pay attention to the rules and pay the requisite amount of Vat to their government and thence the EU. In your dreams.
