you don't think for a moment they will let us ask in person, do you!

they will be reading them out from the pre-approved list

what odds do you reckon Ladbrokes would give on them letting me ask Jim Mosley a question ................. ??
Very slim indeed. That would be freedom of speech, which doesn't happen in totalitarian regimes.

However, at a time of ever-increasing scrutiny, preserving the public’s trust in UK agriculture has never been more important. We cannot afford to be complacent; it is vital that Red Tractor’s standards move with the times to ensure they address changes in legislation, best practice and reflect emerging issues on consumer’s minds.

^^ That's the line right there why everybody is wasting there time joining the webinar

There not interested in farmers views they just want to grow the beast bigger and better because they are proud of it and it makes them look good

I can see no way other than cancel NFU subs. I shall not pay this year.

BB

I have to say I think you are right, I've gone full circle here and that's exactly where I ended up 6 years ago when we cancelled

RT are untouchable as it's is a licence to farm - cancelling NFU membership however has no impact on your business ability to operate and can easily be renewed when they take some notice

Actions speak louder than words though, a lot of people talk about cancelling but how many do ?

get on and do it, tell them you will rejoin when they offer a referendum on RT support

NFU membership is the only vote you have here, use it !

100% it will be pre selected questions, and avoiding the really issues with the scheme....all I have seen of Jim Moseley to date he loves the sound of his own voice, and he will use this to try and smooth over things.

My suggestion is that we will boycott all the new regulations, and a lot of the other pointless ones.

my suggestion is we go through the red tractor rules pull out those that apply to assurance. For crops and we only comply to them and them only.

It’s a work to rule protest. The rules that actually apply to crop assurance.

Absolutely. Give them no more than is required for imports..ie. self certified.

Anyone else had this load of tosh ...

Dear Red Tractor Member,
Red Tractor was established 20 years ago to reassure consumers that food bearing its logo was safe and responsibly produced. Initially the focus was on food safety, animal welfare and environmental protection but as with all industries, the scheme has evolved to meet changing demands and expectations.
This successful evolution has meant that Red Tractor has become the UK’s most trusted food assurance scheme. Many retailers, caterers and brands use Red Tractor as part of their buying specification. This provides farmers and growers with considerable market access, without needing to meet several differing standards and different audits.
Your views are important to us. We want to hear directly from our farmer members, and to answer questions about the proposals which have been put forward for implementation in November 2021.
Red Tractor CEO Jim Moseley will be joined by guests from across the supply chain.
Questions may be submitted in advance. Joining instructions will be sent ahead of the session.

Questions may be submitted in advance, which is code for questions will be vetted and we will avoid difficult ones.

Send a challenge in the FW that as you represent a significant number of cereal producers and acreage that you and say an gof should be allowed to ask questions live without prior approval. Unless that is granted you can rightly rubbish the whole charade.

I believe this campaign needs to get out into more main stream media and some influential sites. Is anybody on here on mumsent or know people post on there. I can imagine some traffic could be negative but if we can get discussion out there you never know where it could go. Like him or not Jeremy Clarkson seems to get the general public talking about rural affairs. The general public need to realise about double standards.
