The Space Race

I think perhaps I should come clean over my next project, it is something that we have been working on over the last 9 months
Blue sky thinking, well this is it.
I have been talking to many in the industry and my plans have been seen to be a little ambitious by people such as NASA but thankfully there many others who do not let small details get in the way.
Now has been said before that experts generally get in the way and push cost where there was none, Elon said he would help but only if I put up 4 billion and he had 95% of the equity in a shared venture. Richard said he could do it, but would not guarantee the rocket before 2075.
and then I spied this thread and thought to myself , here we go and it comes with a free bonus for Pete you get this up for me and the launch site can be re used for the base station to receive all the power back instead of building some island in the middle of the North Sea on spurious safety grounds.
The deal being that you get as much free power as you can use.
Ps @Cab-over Pete it is extremely critical you get the aiming right, are you sure you can, other wise you may cook Birmingham!
I’m surprised and somewhat disappointed at your need to ask.
We have the technology. And don’t forget, we have Kev too.

In that era were some rockets not fitted with explosives as an optional extra? How would you fit the Fendt cab?

Only just starting to understand this quest, I missed it last night, so I’m a bit late to the party. Commander Kevin informed of the situation this morning, but I’ve been busy welding all day.....

Anyway, looks like lots of things are already organised, the cake is pretty important, so I’m glad that’s high on the agenda. I think something really needs to be done about space suits, not sure where they can be sourced from locally? Maybe a local Dickies stockist? They do a right cosy insulated number, be ideal if there’s any space walking require, never know when the wing mirrors ect will need gaffa taping back on, mid journey?
A comprehensive list of supplies needs to be compiled too! Gotta go prepared! Remember that Apollo 13 fiasco? Well just think how much better they would have gotten out of that muddle had they have had copious amounts of duct tape, cable ties and baler twine, we mustn’t make the same mistake!

Im also rather concerned about the propulsion system, @Cab-over Pete ? Basically, I’m not getting involved unless it’s powered by Cummins.......

Intensive crew training will be needed to withstand the stresses and keep the astronauts in the peak of good health while they are up. This 20 year old was shut in a room with Little Mix for just 20 minutes and when he was let out, he was a broken man.

Fear not great friend, I have a Cummins 6CTA in the shed with your name on.
Get it welded in place over the weekend and if it’s wet on Monday we’ll give her a crank over.
If it’s dry I promised Mrs COP I would paint the kitchen window frame.
