Yesterday I drove from Cirencestert to Cambridge ( to British Antarctic Survey) headquarters openday, and back.I was staggered by the amount of agricultural land disappearing under houses, industrial parks ,HS2 etc etc.
I was especially taken aback by the amount Bicester is growing, and then by St Neots there is a huge housing development going on at Winteingham, one didn’t seem to drive many miles with just farmland either side the road.
Fortunately I came back via Deddington Chipping Norton, Burford which allowed me catch glimpses of the open Country of the Cotswolds.
Are other members who travel a lot noticing the same all over England?
The likes of Chris Packham,Monbiot etc etc, seem to turn a blind eye to destruction of the environment by development, and just keep agriculture bashing
