The UK Farmers Union - is it time ?

There are membership categories in the constitution that are mentioned nowhere else. Affiliate membership is one of them. Anyway, what the categories are all called is semantics. Anyone who wants to see it all brought out into the open, and wishes to assist in putting a motion together for the next AGM as mentioned up thread, PM me (y) .

I think it’s pretty relevant - who the members are and who is represented is surely somewhat fundamental ?

interesting that this “inconvenient truth”. Isn’t made clear even to the well informed keener NFU members such as yourself

If tescoand such are members in as affiliated it needs to be stoped directly they are saying they have two masters rt all over again, deeply Sandend !,

if you are a member why not ask leadership directly to tell you ? . I think members have a basic right to know who else is a member ?

if they won’t answer ............... you have your answer !

do you need to wait a year for a AGM ? Can members not ask such simple and reasonable questions at anytime ?

As a member I have asked paid staff and elected members, both decline to reply.
Anyway, the motion to the AGM wont be "who are the members" - as you say that should be answered at any time - but rather "only primary producers should be members" which being a fairly fundamental proposal would I imagine require waiting till the AGM.

you mean “ make change from within“ ?

not a snowballs chance in hell sadly
Try it.

The NFU is an amazing organisation, financially robust, established infrastructure & networks, full of committed & skilled individuals. It just needs grabbing by the nuts and giving a good old shake to get rid of the dead wood.

If you join with a comment to make change, I'll join.

no you haven’t

you may have been moderated for breaking our vert light thought moderation rules which are the same as Facebook ie “legal and decent”

very few posts ever need moderation on TFF, so when one is it is for a VERY good reason

NOTHING has EVER been moderated based on opinion
I cannot see the ‘indecency’ in suggesting a chassis modification be brake tested, to finding my suggestion changed a year later when I searched for the post to make a point to “nice colour paint”. I have my faults like anybody but posting drivel is not one of them.
