The uk

That is a very good question, how do you want to benchmark the economic impact of Brexit? I think it is not fair to look solely at the economic standings in isolation as there are countries in Asia, South America and Africa that are growing at way higher rates than mature economies in the West. I think it is much more useful to compare the UK with other European countries.
In 2015/6 the UK economy was one of the best preforming economies in Europe, competing up there with Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden etc. In 2020/1 the UK has one of worst preforming economies, competing down there with Italy, Spain and Greece.
Nobody falling over themselves to do a trade deal with Brexit Blighty, is there? Too small and can’t be trusted to keep the deal in any case.

Can you buy any piece of big machinery and get delivery within 1/2 months?
Both in Souchauds who are independent , and the Kubota dealer there are tractors and ploughs , direct drills and a whole range of attachments available now. All the autumn demos for new kit are being held.
Although I'd point out that most people arrange for major purchases in December as the PAC is paid then and you claim the vat back in January.
We bought our 2nd hand combine in a December and arranged delivery for end April.

I'd add a couple of things.
Big kit purchases are seldom in the "I want it now " bracket , but are carefully planned.
Since the new Tax changes came in , Dealerships are a wasteland by the end of December, you'd be pushed to find a set of spanners. This is because all stock present at the year end has to have tax paid on it.
Interesting! when you stock has to have tax paid on it, what does this actually mean? what tax is it?

Meanwhile as Boris and Rushi, both separately wine and dine global business leaders, in an effort to get them to invest in Global Britain, big global corporations actually bypass UK, in favour of investing in the EU.
Last week Intel announced it was eliminating UK for consideration in where to locate it‘s next Fab plant. They have decided to build it in the EU.
Now today, Facebook have announced its next big investment in Europe, will also be in the EU.
Makes so much sense really. Huge investments are best placed in huge markets, where it’s easy to attract to full range of talents to make them work. How far seeing Margaret Thatcher was, when she supported the concept and launch of the single market, and Britain’s place at the centre of it. Little did she think at the time, that a generation of political and economic vandals would come along in Britain, to destroy that which had done so much, to bring growth and prosperity to the country.

The Douanes weren't quite as sh!t hot when we arrived at Limoges , ha ha ha
I have hilarious recollections of staying in a country hotel in Limoges. As is common in France we booked a family room for myself, wife and two daughters. There was an en suite shower behind a heavy curtain and, upon reaching through to turn the device on, the shower head rose up off the wall like a giant cobra and charged through the curtain, spraying water all over the room. The Frogs certainly don`t lack water pressure. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
