The longer range models are beginning to show that there may be a change in the weather towards the middle to end of July, and a return to more westerly winds for August, which will tend to bring cooler conditions and some rain. I would suspect that the second half of summer will be a traditional north/west vs south/east split, with the latter staying largely dry and the former getting some rain, not buckets of it, but enough to help.
If you're east of a line drawn from Newcastle to Exeter, I reckon you're not going to get a great deal of rain for the rest of the summer
