Letter in the farmers weekly last week from a trade organisation said it can legally be treated as terrorism because vegan was recognised as an ideology
Oddly enough, I'd been thinking about Veganism, and given the links/funding to/by the seventh day adventists and the willingness of their zealots to ignore absolutely anything that challenges their beliefs, I now consider it a religion.

I seem to recall that they actually got it legally recognised in the same bracket as it gave them more rights for this and that

I’m going out in this tomorrow:

Yes - I think Ethical vegans are now a protected characteristic, like most religions etc
Thing is most of them are unethical. I'm in the middle of a Twitter spat based on one of George Ms tweets atm. Countering absolute nonsense that without farmers sheep live naturally to 12-24 years old and cows 20-40 years old. They ask for scientific evidence to refute thier assertions, you give them 40 years of research on sheep populations on uninhabited islands showing that most don't survive year one and only 10% of adults reach 7 years (broadly similar to the farmed situation, only difference being welfare and the manner of death) and they will not take it or just melt into the background. Unethical vegans.

This only makes it seem more like a religion to me - suspension of disbelief etc

That article is so badly written it’s a little sad.

I think over here we just run protesters over every now and again to keep them on their toes. They get too bold after awhile.
