I know two people vaguely who both said they and quite a lot of others would genuinely go
it’s what they trained and signed up for
suppose it’s abit like wanting to be a farmer, given a farm but not allowed to work it
obviously a lot more risk of life going to fight a war
You think the government should send them?

Criticise them for doing exactly what the Americans would do all be it a lot more second rate fashion, it was the West pushing NATO military ever closer to the border not the other way around.
The Russians may not fight or behave in a way we approve of but they are not unique in that as Israel have shown, where are the Western leaders trying to bring this to an end rather than simply pouring petrol on a roaring fire, Western leaders have fallen for American & NATO leadership’s clap trap & there now seems no way back from the killing fields!
No if the US was doing what Russia is doing it would have been threatening and undermining Canadian sovereignty for the last 20 years, it would have been pushing Americans into some Canadian states, it would have invaded parts with little green men 8 years ago and then made a thunder run for the capital whilst bombing civilians, looking, raping and torturing along the way. How did this not make they news? 🤷‍♂️. putin though process isn’t driven by NATO but despite NATO

Just pointing out the stupidity of pretending Russia is going to invade Europe & wasting billions on armaments, FFS if Russia can't advance on Ukraine with their "older" soldiers & their shortage of arms how the feck are we supposed to believe they will invade Europe, it's total bullish!t spread by the same NATO expanding morons that caused this in the first place!!!!
Just because russia fkd up its invasion of Ukraine, it doesn’t change putins ambitions. russia have no shortage of arms, at least no shorter than Europes, and russians are considered much more disposable than NATO troops.

I'm pretty sure we have some of the dumbest leaders & defence chiefs possible here in the UK & US, whilst sending longer range missiles might seem clever in Whitehall & Washington with elections looming past experience has shown that Ukrainian strikes into Russia might in the short term raise morale amounts Ukrainians it almost always inevitably leads to far stronger retaliation from the Russians & if anything will likely increase support for Putin, it's not going to solve the problem that's for sure.

The long range stuff, like ATACMS, is supposedly sent on the proviso that it isn't used to hit targets outside Ukraine.
Your mate Biden is also supposed to have armed Putin that, if Rusia used such long range missiles in Ukraine, he would allow Ukraine access to the same. Putin responded by sourcing, and using, such missiles from Rocketman Kim.

One was a nurse the other served food in a restaurant.
Ukrainians have ordinary lives families and dreams.
They're saving themselves their country and their daughters future.
I wouldn't do any different.
They have my full support.
they have mine to,
they should have had a lot more support a lot earlier and not be left hung out to dry.

more of the latter
didn't some of them come from Saudi
Yes, it obviously wasn't payback, but was presented as such and therefore public support was high.
Troops only go in with public support, hence ours are not fighting in support of Ukraine....no matter how noble their cause is and how dangerous and evil vlad is.
This might involve some actual risk to armchair supporters/generals , so not popular.
