The war in Ukraine...

@German is correct. The Azov Battalion is far right, and a sizeable contingent within that are Nazis. They were incorporated into the armed forces through necessity to fight the Russians after 2014. Unfortunately this does feed into Putin's lie about Ukraine being a Nazi country.

Zelensky must be holding his nose very hard as he calls them heroes. The real problems for the Ukrainian leadership will start after the war when they have to find a way to deal with them now they are regarded as heroes by much of the country.
They faced this Problem in 2014 already and decided to make them a regular part of their armed forces.
That alone should tell you something

The Ukrainian army in 2014 wasn't the force it is now. If the Russians had kept coming after Crimea it's likely Ukraine would have been overrun. There was likely an element of panic in the decision at the time.

The Russians could indeed stop digging but from the Ukrainian perspective the Churchill saying “when you are going through hell, keep going “ is more realistic
Do you really think it’s in the Russian mindset to stop or if Ukraine gets these weapons will they simply escalate the intensity of the war, without Western troops on the ground life in Ukraine might just be about to get a whole lot worse!

The Russians want the whole of Ukraine so won’t want to stop until they have it.
To many Ukrainians I would imagine Russian occupation of their country would be about as bad as it could get.
Let me ask you a question though. Do you think that Russia would stop threatening its neighbours if it wins in Ukraine?
Do you think if Russia wins in Ukraine it would stop its expansionist desires ?

No Russia will not stop.

The west needs to wake up.

I sincerly believe that this will be settled around the Dniepr and the south of Ukraine leaving a severely weakened Ukraine behind.
Country will be on its knees, could have been prevented beforehand.

However invading Russia to stop this isnt the answer.

Its not about the skull its about whats surrounding it.

Or is that a mere coincidence as well?

Maybe that killer from Buffalo had the same symbol on his Body Armour by pure coincidence as well
So what? The Azov battalion started out as a rightwing militia in 2014 and ultimately may have had a combat size around 1500 men of which 10% were seen as potentially being hard right. With approximately up to 700 thousand men called up for military service, I don't think 150 makes it a Nazi army in anyone's eyes other than your puppet master.

I never believed all this expansionist clap trap, Putin was never going to take on NATO, even he is not that stupid, if he wanted a non NATO country between Russia & the West then expanding into Ukraine would seem to defeat the object some what!
If Biden is stupid enough to give Ukraine long range missiles why waste every ones time, simply give them a nuclear one & then we can all join in.
Don't be fooled by Western propaganda those around Zelensky are every bit as thugish as Putin!

Of course Putin isn’t going to take on NATO but I believe that he has his eyes on non NATO countries.
To that extent Ukraine is just the start

Of course he has, but then if Russia moves into those countries doesn't that put Russia right up against NATO countries something he doesn't want, it seems he's obviously not thought this right through or else of course the alternative is we are all being taken for fools by the USA!

Ironic considering the one Video you posted from Twitter with an Azov Member clearly showed that he had a black sun on his chest. Your argument would make far more sense if i cherrypicked a picture and posted it, but you literally posted that lad, no need for me to dig for the dirt

The situation got out of hand for them, the nationalist formations actively undermined reaching the goals of minsk 2 as they refused orders to withdraw. Refused to acknowledge the Elections in the east that were part of the Minsk 2 deal.
Zelensky tried to bring peace, but when he visited them it was imminent he wasnt in control anymore

Look at this he was basically there to negotiate

NATO is only a problem for putin in so far as it limits his desire for empire.

Wars make for strange bedfellows. As the British are wont to refer to, during "The War"...... Uncle Albert anyone?.... The US & Uk were allied with the Soviet Union, which had previously been in a pact with the Nazi's and joined them in carving up Poland by force, and enemies after the conflict.

I haven't and won't criticise Ukraine for having the far right in it's army, as a tiny proportion. There are plenty of neo nazi russians on record. The enemy of your enemy is your friend in war time and the correct time to solve this problem is in peace time, which hasn't existed since 2014 for Ukraine.

The Problem is the influence these People have outside the armed forces, and they actively stood in the way of Peace between 2014 and 2022 and negated the implementation of Minsk II which would have been a nearly ideal Solution regarding the Countries Situation.
Especially if you look at the Situation now.

Minsk 2 is a solution to nothing.
