“Our defenders will defend to the last bullet,” he said. “But people are dying without water and food, and I think in the next several days we will count hundreds and thousands of deaths.”

We've done condemning; today we've done name calling - what we doing next?
Ask the perpetrator Vladimir Putin .

Suspicions that Russian/Ukrainian talks are a stalling tactic by both sides as the Ukrainians expect better armament from USA and Russia is almost punctured and trying to gain support. Unaided Russia have funds for about two more weeks of war.

Ukrainian hospital staff are now being trained in nuclear biological and chemical weapons treatment. Triage especially. Expect trouble. The Ukrainians do.

I would disagree with the Western hypocrisy and cowardice bit, as the more I think about it, the more I think NATO has it about right if somewhat unfortunately for the Ukrainians. The Russian state was/is in a hole economically and getting worse, due to sanctions, corruption, covid etc. Putin's solution seems to have been the standard dictators response blame a neighbouring country and in this case the West as well, in an effort to explain and galvanise the Russian population into accepting their continued hardship. To put NATO forces in direct confrontation with Russia, would just confirm to the Russian population that there leader was entirely correct in his actions. As it is, he is reduced to lies and censorship on a massive scale to hide the truth which can only work for so long. :scratchhead:
Following your analogy, it doesn’t help the Ukrainians who are being binned out of their cities does it? It may not be “our fight” and “we” don’t have a good track record in other skirmishes, but you can’t deny the horrific plight Ukraine is in at this time. Putin must be doing well to convince his country that “the war”
Isn’t a war. Don’t suppose the images we see daily is seen on Russian TV is it?

It's amazing that people are seemingly shocked at what Putin is doing, we all knew how Russia fights wars including the Ukrainians before it all started so this was as predictable as night following day, they choose knowing full well that they were on their own to take him on believing NATO would have to give in & come to their rescue, unfortunately this was never ever going to happen!

If the West keep pumping weapons into Ukraine prolonging the war & Russian losses Putin will eventually lose patience & then all bets are off as to what he will use to get his way, not sure we are in reality doing the Ukrainian people any favours in prolonging this.

I think it is high time that NATO put their air power over Ukraine now. The Russians have been blasting virtually anything and don't care for the consequences. Enough is enough. We can't stand by and let another genocide occur. I've seen footage from the Ukraine, endless dead or wounded children. Enough is enough.

I’ve just been discussing with Mrs Czech... it seems to me that Putrid is aiming to starve the 300,000 people in the south coast port (can’t spell it) to death. Or is prepared to, assuming a surrender will come.
Just so revolting, I agree, enough is enough.

If they do then it's likely Russian air defence missiles based on the Russian side of the border would shoot NATO planes down so those missiles would have to be bombed & taken out of action first, in doing that WW3 starts, is that what you really want?

So the first thing NATO does is bomb all the Russian air defences first and then ?
