The war in Ukraine...

Couple of different articles online in the last couple of days saying that Putin is effectively micromanaging Russian forces in Ukraine. effectively taking decisions that are properly the responsibility of a Major or a Lt Colonel etc.
Lets hope that is true as it shows he isn't trusting anyone anymore. It was Hitler's big downfall thinking he as a former corporal knew better than his generals.

is any of us discussing it important though, are you Boris ? or Biden ?
anyone what has this thread achieved to make it so important that it must not deviate ?
just looked on new posts and there is a thread about drum and disc mowers, that has to be more important on a farming forum, it may actually achieve something
Above all. Remember. Some of us are only minnows in a great big ocean, way out of our depth.
Others aspire to be big bad pikes in a little pond.

Mujahideen means “those engaged in jihad”. The Taliban (the Students (as in religious)) where just a more fanatical group of Mujahideen fighters that became the dominant force.
Well nah,
This has to be a different kind of cope to justify past alliances when Bin Laden himself was supporting the mujahideen with his daddys construction companies money. and has been staying in the country since the 80s before the taliban were even a thing.

Looking like good news if the Russians act like human beings for a change.
Not sure what emoji to put for that.
Sad they've had to surrender
Happy some have survived and the injured will " hopefully " get medical attention.
BIG respect to them for holding on so long and walking out, carrying their comrades with them , they must be unsure of what awaits them.

Becoming very unclear what's going to happen to these men , I hope their treated fairly, if the UN & Red Cross helped with the surrender, I hope their on the ground keeping a eye on what's happening to them.

You'd think that there would come a point at which the Russian seniors would realise that they are doing themselves so much harm in the long-term, that they would rein it in a bit. But seemingly not; there was already a hell of a lot of dislike for Russia in Ukraine before the war - now there are generations of pure hatred. :(
Pretty thick tbh, motivates ukraine to fight even harder and quite likey more inclined to just shoot russians trying to surrender.

All these atrocities carried out just increase the chances they will be killed

It would seem Vlad has a high turnover of generals going by this infographic.
Add twenty or more to the list as it is only current to 2015...
Most of them have died in, let's say, non conformist situations under his watch...
