Inch and a quarter galvanized water pipe that must have supplied house that was here. Trencher bent it around like a banana.... Thankfully found the line off of one of the pumps that turned it off
Just hope it's not needed elsewhere :nailbiting::rolleyes:
The Joy's of setting up a new farm..
At first I thought that was some sort of deadly snake

@Princess Pooper, my father was always doing that in the sixties. The solution I came up with was to get a piece of milking rubber, about 6 feet of the stuff that goes from the clusters to the jars. After removing the plug, I slid the pipe up to the hedge cutter and securely tapped the other end to the cable. You'll find that the rubber pipe won't go between the cutter fingers, thus protecting the cable.

The other thing that you can do is to run the cable over the shoulder, down the back and put a belt round the waist.

Thanks for the tips. The cable is about 30ft long so I am not sure he would spare that much milking rubber :-0. Fortunately he cut it about 5 ft from the plug end (where it came out of the kitchen window, next to the very overgrown jasmine that he was pruning) so at least we still have a good length of cable for him to go at. !!!

jasmine must be just about to flower? Haven't cut ours but perhaps I should?

Not me, but a 'know-all' mate who's putting up a shed in his garden.
I have no idea how he got planning for it.
Measuring is something he seems to have trouble with alot and shearing things off.
Anyway, true to form all four corners are purched on the edge of the pads.
