The what I f^cked up today thread...

I'm planning on sliding a new box inside so its double thickness before welding it back ,just hope it dont make it to heavy. Its to good a plough to scrap and insurance value would not amout to much
Next bit to break will be the pin holding the big turn over shaft into the bracket and leave you driving up the field with headstock and broken ram, lovely working plough but that design is poor

This will definitely not run again.

Think the oil pump has gone.

More senility. I sent off some calf details for their passports but managed to put the wrong numbers on a mother, so BCMS sent me a covering letter and form to send back with the amended details. I immediately found an envelope and posted it off....only to discover I had sent them back their own covering letter rather than the form.
I think it's time i was quietly "sent to Holnest"* as Mrs Fred puts it.
*ie where I take our pigs when they are ready...:)
Reminds me of a friends uncle who went to Wrexham footie a few yrs ago !
He ordered his match tickets and picked them up from the office . The new ticketing system produced a ticket sized receipt printed on the same material as the tickets themselves , (for ease I suppose )so as he thumbed the tickets in the envelope he thought he had 3 not 2 ,as he had ordered !
So not wanting to waste it he approached a chap getting into the ticket queue and asked him if he wanted it at a knock down price ?
Ten quid and he gave the old guy the ticket/receipt !! Jobs a guddun !

Only a day or 2 later on the fans forum ,questions over who was this bar steward that sold my Dad a receipt for ten quid at the game on Saturday?? They had his name off the receipt so it was highly embarrasing !! :ROFLMAO:

I had to reply telling the lad the guy had made a genuine mistake and he repaid the lad with a bit of interest and many apologies (I dont think he dared go fro a few weeks after !!!):)

I once parked the old T20 scraper tractor on the yard and took the sump plug out to drain it . Nice and hot leave it till later in the day to refill(let it all run away all that black oil )
NO , I didnt go and start it , but went to oil drum filled the gallon jug and poured the oil in , out with stick and see if its touching the very bottom (after a jug it nearly does )
Nope , nothing , looked over the top of the tank and there was a lovely pool of fresh oil on the yard as I hadnt put the sump plug in !!! Doh :X3:

When I was very young(ish), dad told me to move an oil drum across the buildings so I thought I would roll it along onto the muck forks on our DB, tilt them back, and carry it like that on the loader. Somewhere along the line, I managed to make a small hole in the drum, probably from rolling it onto the worn uneven forks.
After a few minutes I noticed a growing pool of oil under the drum, and had the genius idea of parking the DB with the holed drum in the air, over an empty drum, so that it would trickle in via a funnel. Of course, the rest is obvious- after I left it, the DB loader went down slowly until the holed barrel rolled off the forks, trundled over the yard, and came to rest in the nettles with the hole at the bottom. Cue a well deserved bollocking from dad :)

Like moving that dodgy IBC half full of something ,when the wood gives up and the plastic just goes bang!!
Always recall the old man getting a 45 gallon barrell of thick cane molasses when I was about 5 or 6 . They put 4 straw bales at the back of the wagon and rolled it off!!
Have you tried shovelling 45 gallons of thick molasses off the road ??   :ROFLMAO:
I didnt laugh then as my Dad was madder than a tup !! :p

I had some left over screened top soil a few weeks ago so filled two dumpy bags and parked them in the corner. Beginning of the week they were wanted in the garden, easy I thought, swing them over the wall with the digger....... first bag went over the wall, one strap let go and the bag ripped in half, ah well at least top soil was in the garden..... second bag just decided to split in half, half way along the drive!! Had to shovel it into back actor bucket and swing it in. Ten minute job took nearly hour and a half!!!

Drilled some summer cover on some failed rape ground in anticipation of all this "rain".

Bluddy hard, kept breaking things - tungsten points chipped, coulter fell off, hoses un-attached themselves etc etc, then a tram line rut did this:

Nothing major I grant you, and bent/stuck back together. Don't think the arm will ever be the same again though.

That's my workshop floor rather than the field in question, in case you were curious. Might as well be the same thing.

And it didn't rain :(:(:(:(
