Cfp and dg only work if people are open and honest.
I think people will only be open and honest if they're free from judgement and trust who they're telling it to as well, we all make mistakes and have bad years sharing that is a good thing as others can learn from it but st the same time, you really dont want to gain a reputation from people you dont know because you made a mistake, told someone in confidence and then they told everyone they knew behind your back etc

That’s the beauty of being in a good discussion group. What is said in discussion group stays in discussion group.

In what way did it cost? A slippage in yield? It always seems a bit of a dark art zero grazing
Cow condition, reduction in overall margin and a dip in fertility. I've practised the dark art for 4 of the last 5 yrs and couldn't really get it to work successfully for our system.
So we have at last managed to exorcise the demon.

Ah I thought that maybe the case, find April and early May to be a challenge here in terms of yield and cow fertility on ZG.May was very challenging this year, winter hained grass in early spring with some dead material seems to work well, I find going at some big covers at same time as lifting some lighter stuff seems to work for me

I've found selling the zero grazer and going back to tmr works better here

where farming is concerned very few meet this criteria so challenge your self to perform better than in your last comparable period and aslong as you create a disposable income sail on. there is only one person to satisfy YOURSELF .... No farm through borrowing or soil type can be used as a direct comparison,,,,Mistakes the man who has not made some has not lived

Your forgetting the bank manager in your list of people to satisfy.

I'm too tight to cut it :/

Down cow back at dads, dead this morning, and bare minimum was done yesterday as I wasnt around for the first time since we started up!
Bare minimum are the good days 👍 you need some time off even if it’s a bus mans holiday. Plus your not that tight if you employ staff😂
