Thin grease

Good morning chaps, my neighbor asked me if I knew what oils go into his tedder's gearboxes. He doesn't want to buy a drum of it, he just wants a small top up, but when he showed this to the local oil/grease guy, he wasn't sure either.
TIA

It's the semi liquid grease that's used commonly in power Harrow troughs. Usually sold in 12.5 kg buckets for around £60 , but if it's just a small amount he needs can be bought per Kg but expensive

Ask any local supplier for some NLGI 00 or NLGI 000 semi fluid grease. Or just buy some from the class dealer

our local motor factors sell exol

castrol example

all manufactuers will have something, and should be able to cross reference from the Claas product or the NLGI spec.

It's an extreme pressure grease, when trying to put it in boxes heat it first it will become like a thick liquid after cooling it will return to normal.
