things ive found recently and over the years, this is in fields that are grazed by cattle with a footpath on otherside of hedge along the road that runs through my village, and with learnt over the years to check around border everytime we graze or cut it, right here we go, beer, lager bottles regular found, beer glasses, found a car battery once? bags of dog mess? plastic rubbish regular, a ladies handbag, no money but complete with documents, i took that down to the policestation that was a few years ago when we still had an open police station? this year as well as the mentioned things we are finding the little silver capsules throwen in the field? What have you found and are finding, and do you care or bother to pick it up? if it wasnt grazed by livestock or cut for silage i would not bother so much but glass bottles and plastic, dog mess worries me for the livestocks sake?

One morning on the old place in Herts I found a complete tent, with sleeping bags, cooking kit and other odds and sods, including a useful Swiss Army knife. This was by some woods and about two hundred yards from a lane. We left it for a few days to see if anyone would turn up, they didn't so we gave it to the local Scouts, I kept the knife.

Before I was born my father found a blimp once; he reckoned it was over 50' long and was in fact a 'retired' and mostly deflated barrage balloon. He told the local plod and even 'phoned the two nearest RAF* bases, but nobody had reported one missing or claimed it. Eventually he sold it to a fellow from somewhere on the coast in Suffolk, who had heard about it in a local pub. What on Earth could he have wanted it for...?

*Oddly the RAF told him they were asked about such things a couple of times every week... :ROFLMAO:

Just yesterday, somebody's gumshield :scratchhead:
I am only a field away from a rugby club, but why anyone from it would be dropping their gumshield several hundred yards away in the middle of a wheat field is anyone's guess. The field has never had sewage sludge so can't have come in that way. Did have a dose of FYM this spring so could have come in with that but that just begs more questions.

Not me but a few years ago ,a jeweler in london put a large diamond ring in a box and tied it to a small helium ballon and launched it as a promotional stunt ,,they promised who ever found it could keep it .
It had a tracker fitted and it came down in fields near Scampton ,,the signal died and they presumed the ring had been lost ,,a few weeks later a couple out walking found it in a hedge row,,it was on lots of news channels .
I think the ring was around £50,000

We used to find radio-sondes launched by the gunners at Larkhill to measure the wind speed. We had a couple, and in those days they looked like a Sputnik attached to a big radar reflector and a helium balloon. They thoughtfully attached a Quatermass style card saying This object is not dangerous! Do not return!. I saw one come down while looking out of the kitchen window and it looked like something from outer space.
I also found a decent mountain bike in the fence line while out for a look around.

Found a chain Harrow in a crop of barley once with the combine , customer said ‘ I wondered where I left that’!
also one day whilst powerharrowing a car pulled in to abit of hard standing inside the gateway, thought they were taking a picture or video, after 10 mins or so a naked couple got out and preceded to go at it doggy style on the ground behind the car, I let them finish before driving over to ask them to leave, him still with his John Thomas standing to attention, she wasn’t so pleased ?

Found a dead body of a young lady, A few years ago that went missing from the local town six weeks previous while we were combining ,enough said.

we had a dead fisherman found in one of our fields a few years ago. Fortunately he was on the footpath so was found pretty promptly.

a couple of years ago I found a box of flexi toilet connectors, all brand new. It was by a lay-by so can only assume a delivery driver had cocked up and thrown them over the hedge rather than go back to his depot and admit his mistake. I sold them for a tenner each ?

Someone dumped a stash of porn by one of our test sites. We're not talking about a carrier bag of old Fiesta magazines either, it must have been a good pallet load of grot mags that were of such specialist subject matter it would have made your average aficionado of German or Dutch hardcore niche porn throw up. No attempt was made to hide it, it was just dumped in the middle of one of the fields that skirt the test site.

Local contractor on maize found a chain harrow in the gateway to a maize field, AFTER the harvester and three carts had driven over it! Was told to me by the tyre fitter called out out of hours to mend the numerous punctures and was there five hours in the mud! :(

I've found 2 dead bodies in our fields,
One was a tennant of residential caravans we rented out, a shame a really nice person and was only 20 yards from their door,

The other was someone reported missing from Aberdeen 3 weeks previously, how they ended up in our fields 30 miles from town, with no public roads in the vicinity,
And with no links to anyone or where in the area was strange,
Especially as a friend swears he saw vehicle lights in the field couple nights before but thought it was us going round cattle,
We had no cattle in that field.

Also the remains of a guy who has been missing for over 6 months was found in a stream that ran through our ground, the same stream my water supply came from
