I mainly smiled all afternoon, Firstly at the Dakota flying up the other valley, then away across in front of us, then at the stag running across the field, him stopping for a glare, then I had an hour on the river always a pleasure even if the only trout I caught was let go far to small, then spotting the fawns across the river asleep, later up and about.(y) Sorry the pictures are not better.

My lab incubating shoes. It's infuriating when one from every pair of shoes you own vanishes, but it's very sweet.
Seeing my pet hand reared texel lamb from two years go on to have the best tup lamb out of all of them born this year. She's about half the size of the other ewes, but I love looking at her and knowing that she's the result of days of hard work keeping her alive.
Summer sunshine
The crackling of the log burner on a freezing cold night
A sunny day in autumn when all the leaves are turning.

Pulling ragwort out on the cliffs (pretty remote).
American tourist stopped for a chat. Turns out he's a small holder so could talk farming.

Then a couple of south African lads stopped by wondering why some peasant was out picking all those yellow flowers! o_O
Funny the people you meet.

They're saying the same tonight!
