The two Spitfires that had did the Dame Vera Lynne fly past at Dover flew over the farm on their way back to Biggin Hill. Not only made me smile but made the hair on the back of my head stand up. I feel so lucky to see these aircraft flying regularly :)(y)(y).
Early afternoon every day during the Royal Welsh Show there's a Spitfire & Hurricane do a flypast several times at low level over the showground then climb and bank before roaring overhead again...it's one of the most moving things I've seen, gets me every year, I've no idea why as I'm not in the least interested in aircraft....but something about seeing those planes climb and turn, the sound they make, makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, I love it. :)

Talking to a game keeper the other day and he was asking when I was going to get his fencing job done and that I had said I would do it two years ago, I corrected him and said I think it's actually 4 years ago, he just looked at me and said "well your a pansy" and drove off smiling

Two birds I haven't seen before visited my feeder today, Siskin and Coal Tit, 12 species altogether in 24hrs. Really chuffed, may have to build another stand to accommodate them all :D Gold finches are magnificent

Jackdaws seem to have given up but looks like there's one Rook going to have to be dissuaded:sneaky:
