Absolutely devastated ... a very sad day today ... after 7 years of medical training and hard work, a very good friend of mine has been struck off after one minor indiscretion. He slept with one of his patients (they were good friends) and can now no longer work in the profession he loves. What a waste of time, effort, training and money. A genuinely nice guy and a brilliant vet.

Tadpoles! Hundreds of them in the tanks now, growing like mad. Got them out of the pond about a month ago. Still a while to go, hoping to release them back to the pond and also to some other suitable places. There were still thousands of them plus more spawn left in the pond, but it would be surprising if even 1% of them make it to adulthood. They are eating like mad, I reckon lack of food must also be a major cause of mortatily, in addition to diving beetles, birds, etc

Just normal fish food, plus they get leaves covered with algae out of another tank. I do a 50% water change pretty often and use the stuff that makes tap water safe for fish. I think I may do the next water change with pond water since it is supposed to have wee beasties in it that they like to eat. @Blod when they start growing into froggies I'll set up a shallow water tank for them with plenty of stones and such.

I've put some of them in our big tank to see how they get on, they seem happy hiding in the plant debris and they are too big now for the fish to bother them.

Thanks

No I've not been in the Forces or to The Falkland Islands. I remember following it all on the radio whilst carting on a farm in Somerset at the time.

I've been to Buenos Aires pre-revolution in 2000 whilst building the World Golf Championships for PGA Tour Inc

My little girl, my mother and me were at breakfast a few days ago and I asked the girl if she wanted some more toast, she replied 'NO!' My mother then said 'Well, she is quite emphatic about it...' at which my girl stood up on her chair, pointed at her grandma and said with great annoyance 'I'm not fat, you're fat!'
