Admit her voice is leaving her but not bad for 52. Ms Harry on the other hand, great back in the day but at 72 I'm afraid that day has passed
If you wonder why Shania isn't quite so crispy in her singing, look up 'Shania Twain Lyme disease'

Any of us country folk could get that horrid disease very easily.

Apropos of nothing really, it is good to see that the chest exercises have done Debbie proud compared with how she was on the poster on my student room in 1979.

Just watched "Flogit road trip " or whatever it's called ,in Cheshire area , Wright Marshalls auctioneers . I was pleased to see that the farmer / contractor in that area had given the road outside a liberal top dressing of what looked like yard muck .

Standing in the yard today surrounded by butterflies - it bought back memories of being a small child standing under the buddleia.

Turned out the mush from making apple and blackberry jelly that I had dumped on the compost heap had attracted quite a bit of insect life!

Above is a bit difficult to see but there are 4 Red Admiral, 1 Speckled Wood (towards the left of the photo), some green dock beetles and several dozen wasps, which is why it is not quite in focus. At one time I had 10 Red Admiral flitting around me - almost felt like summer!

2 blokes in small van drove round the farm eyes everywhere when challenged they wanted some welding doing on the van , found a wallet when they had gone , its been handed to police, if they don't claim it from police lost property in 28 days it will pay for the chainsaw we had pinched earlier in the year, police weren't expecting them to turn up but were very interested in the details inside the wallet .

Lovely morning, so Nell sat out on the patio while I harvest what veg needs lifting and the (captain caveman voice) 'Guardian of the Garden' follows me round singing it's little heart out, watching for any bugs I disturb.
