My bike's old Villiers engine unseized after a sitting for a day with a cylinder full of duck oil, followed by a gentle rock back and forth while it was in gear. Fabbo (y)

@suffolksmallholder it's no Tiger 110... but it's a (very, VERY cheap) start :)
It's well up on my neighbour's old bike, it's got gears and brakes! :confused:(y)

Not being into old motorbikes I can't remember what it is but it's a 500cc single with direct belt drive to the rear wheel and he's had it round the TT circuit at over 70 :facepalm:

It's not often you go to the local sale and there's a classic bike in front of you. I couldn't walk past it! I'd say it was £420 well-spent (y)
Me, I'd have it in a million pieces & back together (I would hope) this weekend. Having checked the brake shoes too, new tyres & an MOT booked.........Then get a nice heavy cotton over-cover on order & a good spot in the shed cleared away with all the bits & bobs needed to keep it in good fettle to hand. WD40 to start with, quality 2 stroke oil (Stihl or Husq) & a booklet on making an Amal carbie into a beast re the cut-away, needle & pilot settings.:D Serious considerations on electronic ignition would be my only step away from authenticity. I have a Stuart Turner which really benefits from ex BSA 'Boyer' ignition.(y)

Today, I took my tractor - all polished - into a city centre nursery where I let 100 or so under 5s climb on it and switch the beacons on etc. Then had a chat to them about the things we grow here and on neaby farms with some samples of grains and some examples of what they are turned into.

Cost - my time, a bit of diesel, half kilo of various crops.
Value in small, happy faces and a bit of a connection to the food they eat - priceless.

My kids! Today as I unpacked the shopping I heard a groan from my 14 year old son " Bourbon Creams are boring", I opened the packet and started to promptly shovel in the biscuits into my mouth one after the other not saying a word or even looking at him, after the third had been scoffed he says " Save some for me", doubt he will moan about boring biscuits for a while! :hungry:;):ROFLMAO:
